‘Belligerent’ Alec Baldwin screamed at cops during arrest

By Larry Celona, Jamie Schram, Emily Smith and Bruce Golding

He is still a hater. Rage-a-holic actor Alec Baldwin was busted in Manhattan Tuesday over a belligerent rant against cops who caught him biking against traffic — and then got the arresting officer’s Hispanic last name wrong when he lashed out at her on Twitter, sources told The Post. “Officer Moreno, badge number 23388, arrested me and handcuffed me for going the wrong way on Fifth Ave,” Baldwin tweeted after being sprung from the 13th Precinct stationhouse. Law-enforcement sources said the cop who busted Baldwin has a Hispanic last name, but it’s not Moreno and there’s no one at the 13th Precinct with that name.

Great to live in a liberal mecca where you need a ID to ride a bicycle but you don’t need an ID to vote.

Big gov. liberal Baldwin deserves to be judged by the policies he helped bring into fruition.

I grew up in NYC and moved out a few years ago when I finally woke up. NYC is what happens when liberals are allowed to run amok. Cops will arrest you for anything, I like to call it “North Korea with food” but only the food they allow you to eat.

In February, he wrote a cover story for New York Magazine that said he was considering moving to a gated community in Los Angeles because “I just can’t live in New York anymore.”

I thought you were moving to France, Arec!?!

If she was in Massapequa it was the Great South Bay she looked out on. The Sound would be North Shore and a shade tonier I think.

My relatives in Massapequa currently pay 18000.00 a year in taxes.

Perhaps. She was very wealthy, the house was lovely. She was the only rich relative I had and she was wonderful.

Does it bother anyone else that he was arrested for not having ID?

He was arrested because he committed other crimes and they needed to do a warrant check. Take it to the Supreme Court if you like.

Massapequa?

Guy looked nd sounds like Queens Village to me! Plus he has that belligerent Queens Village attitude ... like McEnroe the Tennis Player.

These tragic social errors and mistakes often happen to (prejudiced) country fellows who make too casual a study of the many strange Noo Yawk neighborhood sub species.

He is therefore biologically unable to tolerate Manhattan. He's damn lucky Officer Conchita Banana didn't have him deported.

The Supreme Court decided a while back that people do have a right to cuss at cops. My recommendation is to do it after all the administrative work has been done, otherwise you could affect the officer's ability to recognize you.

“People who don’t live in NY have no idea how dangerous it is to ride against the traffic as he was caught doing.”

No, no, no Alec. Riding against traffic is a GREAT idea. To make sure you can hear every sight and sound, don’t bother with a helmet either. And ride fast, really fast. You’re a BIG star, so don’t worry about stopping or yielding - none of those rules apply to you.

(With any luck at all, a New York taxi will accomplish what we’ve all wished for!)

Personally, I respect that he doesn’t wear a helmet. Very macho. In all other ways in this story, he’s a moron.

They “needed” to do a warrant check? Says who? The cops? Was there probable cause to arrest him so they could run their warrant check? No. You’re dead wrong.

In the United States, you’re under no obligation to carry ID unless you’re driving a car. You can’t be arrested for not carrying ID, even if it thwarts police desire to run a warrant check on you.

The police arrested him so they could run a warrant check on him because he didn’t have ID. Patently illegal and everyone should be outraged by this.

Please list all the “crimes” you think he was arrested for, besides not carrying an ID. And don’t mention imaginary ones like “disorderly conduct.”

I dont’ like Baldwin, but this arrest is disturbing. Increasingly, Americans are being arrested, tased, or worse for back-talking their rulers.

I'm betting that one fine day he'll get crossways with the wrong guy, and end up stopping a well deserved bullet. You can only get away with that mouthy tough guy sidewalk act for so long. Then, you cross paths with the one guy you should have never f**ked with.

Well it’s not as if he’s putting a lot at risk.
