Former Browns quarterback Bernie Kosar believes he's been unfairly sacked as a TV broadcaster.
Kosar has been removed as a color commentator for Cleveland's preseason games by the team.
The Browns said Wednesday night he was being replaced by Solomon Wilcots, who will work with play-by-play announcer Jim Donovan.
Kosar contends he's been removed because of slurred speech he attributes to 'a direct result of the many concussions I received while playing in the NFL.'
'This is very unfortunate,' he said in a statement, 'as I believe my football acumen and ability to describe what is happening on the field, has been well received by Cleveland Browns fans.'

Concussions and slurred speech should have done you in during the audition phase prepping for the No Fun League.
The $64,000 question is: Why does anyone watch anything, make that ANYTHING, NFL these days, including the Super Bowl? When zombies who watch the NFL, and only zombies still watch, discover what a time waster the NFL is, a whole 'nuther world will open to them with the time to enjoy it.
Cleveland fans like Bernie. Who the H is Soloman? Not a Browns fan anymore. I don’t watch the NFL at all. Rather watch the snow pile up.
Kosar didn’t have much success in Cleveland, but he got the Cowboys to the Superbowl.
Just so happens I’m recovering okay from a concussion 4 weeks ago.
Thankfully suffered nothing more than shock and pain at the time of impact, then anger, then a few days later, a droopy eyelid which is okay now.
The car trunk lid came down on top left side of skull - thought lid was secure - - BAM!

Gotta say ... There’s alcohol involvement. Bernie sounds EXACTLY like me pontificating after about four beers.
I think Kosar is one of those players that made a fortune and spent it all. I believe he was on the ESPN 30 for 30 special about athletes that are now broke after being multimillionaires.
This is awful. Next thing you know they will fire quarterbacks for not being able to throw the ball.
Bernie’s a drunk....but I’m sure that has nothing to do with it.
Does the article mention he’s a drunk who has been arrested foe DWI?
Mr. kosar, are you telling me you did not know the risk of getting injured while playing football? While you were making a lot of $$, you assumed no risk?
