Pitt had some big wins over the season, also some bad losses. Jekyll-and-Hyde team. If they win today who knows which will show up Saturday.

OSU should have been a higher seed - commentators had them going deep in the tournament ... Based on these results it sounds like they were seeded accurately. Kansas, on the other hand, with the way they've been playing lately shouldn't be a number 2, IMHO. They may not survive the weekend.

This is an upset or a bracket buster only for those who did not watch OSU play all year. They only had two players average double-digit points for the entire season.

Yeah, but Dayton only beat Gonzaga, St. Louis, and GW this year.
OSU beat Wisconsin, Michigan State, and Iowa.
On its face - OSU was the tougher team ...

You’re right. They have to get past the hen peckers first. My sense is, perhaps wrongly, that Delaware has not faced a team whose defense can be extraordinarily stifling. And the Spartans are deep. They’ve had to play through a lot of injuries this season, and will benefit having had so many what normally would have been benchwarmers get so many minutes on the court.

I live in the Columbus metro area. 97.1FM is the local flagship station for Buckeye sports. They ripped OSU all season for their poor scoring and inconsistency. It was expected this game was one they could lose. Even if they advanced, OSU was predicted to be blown out by Syracuse.
