Never heard of anything so stupid in all my life. Rappers and black "comedians" use the N-word every other word out of their mouths, but it's considered "artistic expression", so no one says a word about it. They also talk (because that's all rapping is) about murdering cops and raping women, but once again they get a free pass because of the color of their skin. The rapper in chief invites these thugs to the White House where they have a sleep over in the Lincoln bedroom, eating all the fried chicken and chitlins they want because the first rapper just wants to be one of da brothas. George Washington is rolling over in his grave knowing this nothing is trying his best to destroy the country that the Founding Fathers fought and died for. And less not for that the first brotha flew the US Flags at Half Staff when a drug-addicted black singer died of a drug overdose, but completely ignored it when a former two-time American Ambassador passed away who also happened to be one of the world's greatest entertainers. This is the kind of low-class nothing this country elected, not once but twice. How much lower can we sink as a civilized society.

The only thing good about punishing foul language at the line will be that the NFL might be able to live telecast the sound more loudly and clearly than they generally have in the past with less fear of offending audiences.

This might actually lead to making the games a bit more exciting.

There are lots of things that the players can say to each other to intimidate, threaten, or confuse their opponents without stooping to profanity.

I officiated high school and college basketball for a good many years. It was always a technical foul for this behavior. Quite frankly, I don’t see what the problem is.
