Ok all you Free Republic morality police that say this kid should go to prison forever......

None of you had sex in high school????

Because this is what happened here. A couple of high schoolers had sex. The same thing happened in the 60s, 50s, 40s, and earlier. I seriously doubt you all were virgins on your wedding night.

The most disturbing part of this case is that the laws on the books now make young men felons for doing what young men have Always done. The female of course is an innocent victim.

That struck me as strange also. It was probably done because of her age. If she weren’t a minor, I doubt it would have been done.

U of L is not in Kentucky? But you are correct of the two U of L is most infamous
At least IU makes sure their athletes are not only capable of but actually do get degrees. Not just in b-ball and ft - ball but in all athletic areas

:-)

“I will have to admit there is a little something to the really young age of marriages. Back in the 70s I was working out of Dothan, Alabama. I was searching marriage records as part of my job. I was really surprised how many 14 year olds had gotten married.

Of course that is married not just hooking up.”

As a matter of curiosity, what were the divorce rates for the 14-16 year olds?

Muslims have been marrying their first cousins for some 1,400 years.

MadMo approved.

Oh yes, U of L is in Kentucky, but they think they are out of this world.

As for IU kids getting degrees, why not, they don’t produce on the field or court. :^)

That we can agree on but you’re talking to someone who’s high school only won a few games but 32 out of the 38 graduates got college degrees after four years 3/4 have masters and over a third of the class doctorate
(3 phd in chemistry 2 lawyers 2 drs 3 in other area)
So winning in sports have never been a priority A bunch of Nerds! We were good at chess and debate! Lol

in Massachusetts, it used to 12 y.o.; no doubt, the (Royal)
Kennedy took full advantage of that statue/law.

Gotcha One is genteel. The other is _____ I’m at a loss for words. But I think I’m understanding the difference. Sort of like the difference between “the region” and the rest of Indiana not that anything is even close to “da region” except parts of Chicago. Just heard the gang that controlled the community that O organized has moved into “Da Region”. Like they need any more problems!

I had a first cousin who was a real beauty. She was my same age and I really had this love/fear relationship with her. I wanted to have her but feared what would happen with both her and my family. There was just no reason to even get anything started there.

The player is from Florida. He is signed to play for Louisville which is in Kentucky. Now that those corrections have been made the only thing left to decide is which coach will be a leader and an example to the youth. Will it be Rick Pitino who has had his own share of sexual exploit problems including paying for his ex girlfriends abortion. Or will it be coach Bobby Petrino who has also had problems due to sexual encounters with very young girls. Let’s see Pitino Petrino. Wow what a confusing situation.

He is now qualified to run for elective office as a Democrat. Hell, for that matter, he is qualified to hold office.

This line is funny: Bobby Petrino “is aware of the situation.”
