See you there!!!!
That is where you are incorrect...the problem with people is that they are prideful and angry and that’s the dark part of people’s spirit that loves to see others pound on each other. At least with boxing the gloves to provide some protection...not really so in mma. Strength is patience...and then without the anger, a willingness to fight when we have to. That’s why the best armies in the world are the most moral ones..George Washington’s mission led army is a great example of that.
Gloves aren’t there to protect the head. They are to protect the hands. If I’m in a scrap, it’s not hard for me to break my hand in a bare knuckle battle.
I have some training. Enough to defend myself, my family, and to stay cool in a bad situation. MMA is all about technique. Royce Gracie proved that a skinny 170 pd guy can beat a trained 250 pounder. These days fighters need to be all around fighters or they will lose.
Pride and anger are issues. I deal with them, especially pride. I’m stubborn. Watching MMA has nothing to do with that, nor is partaking in it.
Sorry I missed this one. I was at a local MMA event cheering on a friend who won the organization’s championship.
I guess I have to brush up on my Chinese MMA for the next event.
Pride and anger drive many of these fighters...and gloves dl indeed help protect the bodies of the opponent also. A really skilled boxer can come out of a match not looking too bad. But not so if any amount of blows land in mma. And, now it has devolved into mainly a brute match of once the opponent is down, he gets wailed upon until the ref stops it...totally street like and brutal..not really like Gracie.
