I don't know why these are spoilers. The game was played live on television.
The Canada-Latvia game was controversial. Canada scored the winning goal on a power play resulting from a non-existent penalty; earlier, Latvia's Sotnieks grabbed the puck and tucked it under the goalie, which should have resulted in a penalty shot for Canada.
Kristers Gudlevskis almost died of rubber poisoning in goal for Latvia. 57 shots for Canada.

You’re right, it’s also Slovakia. Just wanted to point our that Slovaks have Slovak Republic just as Czechs have Czech Republic. I visited both before the split.
