If you’re brave enough and have a rather high tolerance to evil, do some googling or binging or whatever on “intergenerational intimacy” and such like.

And to answer your question directly. Yes.

So those thousands of pairs of brothers where one is straight and one is homosexual, including identicals, needn’t apply.

Cherry picked, pre-determined result.

RE: Rush invented ‘the gay gene theory’ long ago.

I think, the intent of this research is to give gays an excuse for their behavior by saying — “See, they can’t help it, it’s WHO THEY ARE.”

Hence, you see the analogy between being black and being gay, and of course, the implication — “being against gay marriage is like being against black marriage.’

If blackness is genetic and it is a moral wrong to discriminate against blacks, then, if being gay is genetic, it is also a moral wrong to discriminate against gays ( especially preventing them from getting married ).

But then, you can use the same argument for being a pedophile, but I don’t see anyone arguing for pedophilia (yet).

RE: And why do so many switch back and forth...

And what about the majority that are basically just indiscriminate?

____________________________________

Gore Vidal (RIP), the long-time protagonist of William F. Buckley Jr. (RIP ) at NPR’s the Firing Line, was an openly gay man when it was not popular to “out” oneself in the 1960’s ( Buckley actually called him Queer on TV ).

Anyway, this is what he wrote:

“We are all bisexual to begin with. That is a fact of our condition. And we are all responsive to sexual stimuli from our own as well as from the opposite sex. Certain societies at certain times, usually in the interest of maintaining the baby supply, have discouraged homosexuality. Other societies, particularly militaristic ones, have exalted it. But regardless of tribal taboos, homosexuality is a constant fact of the human condition and it is not a sickness, not a sin, not a crime ... despite the best efforts of our puritan tribe to make it all three. Homosexuality is as natural as heterosexuality. Notice I use the word ‘natural,’ not normal.”

Aha! So it is a “defect” and something is seriously wrong with the “gays”.

perhaps they will fund that either there is a predisposition or that it’s not genetics for everybody...for some, experience will play a role

He also added this caveat, The Daily Mail said: “Although this [finding] could one day lead to a prenatal test for male sexual orientation, it would not be very accurate, as there are other factors that can influence the outcome.”

So even the study author admits that genetics isn’t a yes/no answer.
Genetics may give you a tendency, but who you do is still your choice.

Duh. The people who didn’t already know this never watched a gay person from birth, on.

Faggies will call for the banning of amniocentesis as `antigay’.

Therefore, what follows? Gay sex and therefore gay marriage is to be accepted?

I don't understand the aggression here against this idea..

I have always assumed gay people are mentally ill, and many mental illnesses have a root in genetic predisposition.

If a man walks into a room, greets people and sits down... I don’t know his favorite food, his favorite sport, nor anything personal about him,

Next, a homosexual walks in, says a hello to people and sits down. Most often I can tell that person is a homosexual because they act and sound like a female.

If being born a homosexual meant preference for sex with males then how would I know unless being directly told tha?. The fact that many act and make themselves sound like women is proof of a mental disorder.

The study’s findings would appear to contradict numerous twin studies that show high discordance between monozygotic twins on this particular trait.

Simply put, if the cause IS genetic, then why is it more common to see one identical twin that is straight and one that is gay, rather than pairs of gay identical twins? If someone was born that way, then you’d think that a pair of individuals with the same genome, who shared the same womb at the same time, would share the trait.

The more rational supposition would be that some non-genetic factor is the primary cause, perhaps with some predisposing factors that goose up the odds just a little (birth order effect, fetal hormonal influence, etc). It could be that effeminate boys are more susceptible to said non-genetic causative factors as well.

And, always, as an aside to this type of debate, why is it that raging leftist progressives assume as a matter of deep faith that all human beings are the product of their environment and NOT their genetics? Why is it that they believe as a matter of deep faith that deeply ingrained human characteristics like gender and race are mere “social constructs”, but that gay people are “born that way”? Doesn’t the insane contradiction bug them? Or do they just never stop and THINK, and instead rely on feelings to guide their world-view?

That’s idiotic, unless their assumption is that it’s an environmentally caused mutation. It certainly isn’t passed on...

25 or so years ago in college i freaked out some gay speakers at a “diversity event” for our dorm when replying to their assertation that it was genetic with “Oh, so it can/will be tested and screened for prior to birth eventually”.

So it’s a genetic disease then? What happens when a treatment or vaccine comes along? Do gays really want to do down that path?

Could be a recessive trait that “hides” through many generations. Could even be a spontaneous mutation that arises from time to time if there’s an error at the right spot.
