If Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto's wife gave birth in a Washington, D.C. hospital, no one would ever argue that the child was an American citizen.

Similarly, it is ludicrous to state that a Mexican citizen, such as the woman in the story below, who illegally swims across the Rio Grande in labor and gives birth in a Texas hospital, has sired an American citizen. But that's what we currently do, because of a shameful perversion of the 14th Amendment.

A prime technique for bringing down an existing social order is to OVERLOAD and OVERWHELM the governmental systems, creating economic and social chaos. What’s going on today is straight out of Saul Alinsky’s “Handbook for Radicals” and the Cloward-Piven Strategy named for the Marxist maniac couple who tutored obazo on its finer points. Because we have NOT sent home 20 million illegals, WE NOW HAVE THE FISCAL BANKRUPTCY AND ARE CLOSING IN ON THE SOCIAL CHAOS. BOTH parties have been applying those methods but obozo, who studied those methods under Cloward-Piven Ayers while a so-called “community organizer,” is using ALL the gadgets in the radical toolkit. If it continues much longer, YOUR kids are doomed to life as serfs in a nation that will more resemble Nazi Germany or the old USSR than the America the Founders ATTEMPTED to leave us.

A member of our family was an OB/GYN who took her pre-med at HAAAAVVAAAAADDD! Needless to say, she emerged from that experience a LIBERAL. (She stopped catching babies and went into research when her malpractice premiums ultimately began to exceed her annual earnings.)

Upon completing her medical training at yet another liberal university, she interned at a hospital near the border in “Kahlifonia.”

It was there that a mystical transformation took place: She began to connect the heavy deductions from the slave wage GROSS EARNINGS for which she busted her butt for as many as 72 virtually sleepless hours with the taxis and jalopies regularly sliding to the curb in front of the ER.

Many of them contained pregnant illegals who won the race to deliver their babies HERE. She caught many of those “anchor babies” who, under the current — and COMPLETELY ERRONEOUS —interpretation of the 14th Amendment were IMMEDIATELY NEW AMERICANS. The mother – who, obviously, could not care for the child if she were back in her native land — could not be deported now even if the INS and the political bosses WANTED her deported (which, because these illegals can generally be counted on to vote the liberal line, they DO NOT). And as the mother of a new US citizen, the woman could remain here for about as long as she cared to – and that was usually for life.

(NOTE: I’ll post several links to more information on the 14th Amendment at the end of my little rant. It’s a fascinating and disturbing story.

Most of those patients were welfare recipients and the deliveries were charity cases: The bill for the hospital’s – and HER services – were routinely spread over the bills of those who DO pay. And what the other users of those facilities don’t cover went back to the taxpayers.
And since my family member was now a taxpayer, they were costing HER.

And while she may not exactly be a libertarian, today she has come a long way from Harvard.

And just so the bleeders who might see this don’t think me some sort of ethnocentric bigot, I submit this problem is MORE than just about illegals.

Before my oldest daughter was born at University Hospital in Cleveland in 1967, I sat in the main lobby as welfare mother-to-be after welfare mother-to-be waddled through the door to the maternity ER for THEIR free deliveries.

Before WE could take OUR daughter home, I had to cough up over 3 grand. And that was a great deal of dough in 1967, especially for a guy who’d just finished a 4 year turn in the USAF.

As I wrote the check, I remembered the magazine article I’d recently read by a hospital administrator from Massachusetts who admitted that all US hospitals practiced a form of medical Marxism, spreading the costs of care for indigents over the bills of those who DO pay for care. Given the move to socialism here, it probably will never be otherwise: Not counting Byzantine complexity and confusion, government produces – and has — NOTHING unless it first takes it from some PERSON. SOMEBODY ALWAYS PAYS.

The illegals have been using the emergency rooms of our hospitals for their health-care, almost always at no charge to them. That cost is either spread over other users or the taxpayers. We have seen a national epidemic of hospital closings due to their insolvency, much of it caused by the burden of trying to render care to PEOPLE WHO SHOULDN’T EVEN BE HERE, denying care to native-born citizens who normally pay their bills and their taxes. And, I submit, the drain the illegals impose on the welfare system is a major reason for our national insolvency and the impending social chaos. (Thank you grubby leftist, power-hungry RINO politicians and bureaucrats!)

Look, I have a big enough problem paying for the 3rd and 4th generation slackers and welfare bums who were BORN here.

It’s long past time we stopped paying for those who were not.

Close relative was an RN in a hospital near the border.
Mexican women would be driven across the border in the last stages of child birth and give birth in the hospital parking lot or on the gernney on the way to the ER.
She went there a liberal fresh out of school and left as a conservative. They, the ER nurses, called the babies INS babies!

It is the Mexican Illegal Alien Loophole - hyped much like the Gun-Show-Loophole and known through out the third and fourth world by aspiring invaders all, except that MIAL happens to be true.

I know there is an Amendment that says “born here citizen” but I think the intent has been horribly mutated to dictate that one or two ILLEGALS having a child here is somehow “American.” IMO, it is complete BS. They don’t belong here, never did, never will. I don’t care how ‘assimilated’ they have become. We simply do not need them - not one bit.

I did my intership at LAC USC med center in LA in 1982.
During my OB month we joked we made more Citizens then a Federal Judge.

We had huge numbers of emergency deliveries because the women would sit in the parking lot till they started crowning.

One of my daughters had a baby a couple weeks ago.

After spending some hours for two days at the maternity ward, it seemed pretty certain that not too many future Republicans were being born.

And surprisingly not a one of them shook my hand and thanked me for paying for their care.

A friend of mine works in a hospital here in New York city which is now pretty much the capital of illegals here on the east coast thanks to Mike Bloomberg, and she says about 90% of the babies born are from illegals, most do not speak English and none have insurance and rely instead on automatic medicaid - something where hospitals cannot deny treatment and the bill gets thrown to the taxpayer. I totally believe it, because when I use to live in Astoria Queens everyday I would drive past the welfare office at 32-00 Northern blvd and it was always one huge line of Mexicans, it was like the Mexican consulate and I directly blame Bloomberg for that who is a fanatical supporter of illegals despite people getting killed all the time by illegals. Bloomberg thinks it’s perfectly OK for someone who could be anything from a serial killer to a multiple rapist to just waltz into the country, hey why check them out, they’re just people who want to work! What a joke.

“Birthright citizenship for illegal aliens is a perversion of the 14th Amendment, which was authored to ensure that children born to African slaves would be considered citizens, not enable unlawful invaders to abuse our system to ensure a lifetime of welfare and free social services.”
___

That about sums it up. Neither political party has the gonads to pass legislation that would fix this “perversion” of the 14th Amendment. Some legislators have talked about it but that’s it. Insanity.

It is far worse than people think. A friend is on kidney dialysis and out of 48 people in the clinic about 5 are white Americans, three are blacks and the balance Mexicans and Chinese who can not speak English or speak only broken English. The taxpayer is paying for their treatment at about $3,500 each per month. Multiply this across the nation. White America is way down the list on type two diabetes a leading cause of kidney failure. Hindu’s, Chinese and Mexicans have higher rates of type II diabetes than do white Americans. With the advent of cheap airfare these people are being flown here for superior treatment at the expense of the American taxpayer. You can be sure that when the inevitable rationing occurs the white American will be sent to die and the alien will get the treatment. That is how degenerate we have become.

Amendment 14, Section 5 gives Congress the power to define the meaning of “. . . and subject to the jurisdiction thereof”.

The Republicans could use this as a campaign winner, but the Chamber of Commerce and Wall Street run the show with Boehner and his ilk.

that’s the only part of the US immigration law that needs to be changed (eliminated), the rest of it needs to be enforced

If a foreign embassy is not American territory, and if a transit passenger in an airport is deemed not to have entered America, why not set up ‘non-American birthing centers’ close to the border. Minimal facilities to reduce costs, kinda like a home birth. “No thanks lady, don’t tell me your name, I don’t want to know.” Pop goes the illegal intruder and back across the border they go WITH NO BIRTH CERTIFICATE.

Problem solved.

One of tthe MAJOR contributing factors to our current economic collapse that is underway. They affect o much more than just the unpaid medical bills. They’ve bankrupted entire cities.

I admitted a toddler the other day.
In speaking with the family ,they are here while the dad attends school.Mom,I found out is a Dr.and the family is from Argentina.
Well the toddler was born here in the US,which yes, makes him a US citizen.I also noticed that it qualifies them to receive WIC (food, formula vouchers) which they were.
Most of the whiney liberal thumb suckers welcome this kind of thing while I’m left in nearly a spastic state of mind.

Our state legislature is debating a bill to provide funds for prenatal care for illegals. The do gooders argue that this would save money as without any prenatal care more of these illegals will have high risk births which of course us tax payers have to pay anyway. I am pissed as hell that the hard working taxpayers in this state have to foot the bill for these illegals to drop their kids and then have an anchor baby giving them the right to stay here.

I would be in favor of providing the prenatal care if as a condition of getting it the illegals must be photographed and finger printed and this information turned over to ICE for their immediate deportation.

The absolute ONLY WAY to solve this, is to make each person who voted for this, pay into the bill. Remove pork bills, and each bill must stand by itself. Digitally track the votes, and those who voted for it, pay for it. Those who didn’t, do not pay.

-- I know there is an Amendment that says "born here citizen" --

Not exactly. The 14th amendment says "and subject to the jurisdiction," which was construed, by SCOTUS in the Wonk Kin ark decision, to mean "amendable to get a parking ticket, charged with a crime, etc." as any visitor (except diplomat) is bound. However, there is evidence that the intent was a more firm binding of jurisdiction, as in "amenable to be taxed, drafted, etc." which doesn't attach to visitors.

Anyway, illegals are certainly subject to the jurisdiction in the sense that visitors are subject to the jurisdiction. They can be charged with crimes, arrested for the same things any citizen can be arrested for.
