(Memphis) A Planned Parenthood billboard has only been up a week in one South Memphis neighborhood, but some people there already want it to come down.
They say the billboard, which includes the message Getting It On Is Free and a picture of a condom, is too graphic.
I was shocked. I was appalled that anyone would put up a picture of condom, said Karen Wallace.
Karen Wallace works at a church nearby and has to drive by the billboard every day.
She said what is worse its right next to an elementary school cross walk.
The graphic was not necessary the message was enough, said Wallace.
A dad who saw the sign for the first time Thursday agreed and said its not something he wants his children to see.
No! It aint nothing to send out to my kids, said Rickey Munn.
The billboard is one of 12 Planned Parenthood has put in the county to prevent HIV and STDs.
The billboards direct people to FreeCondomsMemphis.org.

Defacing time. Get to work people.
Silly hicks! Censorship is for pro-life messages!
“Defacing time. Get to work people.”
Who else here is good at photoshop?
If it was a picture of something sacred they could deface it with graffiti within a matter of hours.
I guess they revere and fear the condom.
They must not go to public school
“consequence” free is what they probably mean and it’s a lie
“No! It aint nothing to send out to my kids, said Rickey Munn.”
Rickey has the right to protect his kids from ads that are being sent out.
there can only be one reason you could put up such a thing, trying to destroy the Christian culture of this country.
because certainly more condom use means less abortion business. you’d have to believe they care so much about unborn babies that they don’t want children being born into a situation they are not wanted.
Yeah, until somebody gets an incurable venereal disease.
I don’t like the term “goes too far” because the message is wrong from the start. Teens, sex, and condoms are a recipe for pregnancy anyway due to misuse, dishonest use, and other factors. But there is the financial self-interest of Planned Parenthood’s abortion business.
Wait to hear it: we’re just a bunch of “prudes.”
But the abortion isn’t free!
Hmmm, this billboard isn’t up in Germantown but in a mostly black part of town.
PP the sneaky, lying tasbards.
They know condoms don’t always work and kids don’t always use them. Then when they get ‘punished’ with a pregnancy there’s always mother Sanger’s PP waiting to service them with a ‘profitable abortion’.
Warm red liquid = cool green paper.
For a moment I will put aside the moral implications and focus on “it is free”. This is one the lefts biggest problems. It is not free, trojan and whoever else do not manufacture condoms for free. Someone is paying, me, and I do not want to pay for your free condoms, idiots.
“Hmmm, this billboard isnt up in Germantown but in a mostly black part of town.”
And the position near a school isn’t an accident or coincidence; blacks are the prime target of the US “zero population growth” policy. Their neighborhoods get the abortion mills as well...
Elect Democrats, planned parenthood gets your tax dollars to put up these billboards, stop complaining
Neither is the treatment for AIDS and STVs.
yes, according to the U.S. political Messiah, young women are now to be told that preventing pregancy is no longer their responsibility to “insure”, the government has mandated that contraception is yours, for free, so go ahead and “get it on”
Joe of those were produced they’d actually sell!
