Call me a cockeyed optimist but many of the recent reports about our energy resources and discoveries in medical advances conjure up visions of an America enjoying low gas and energy prices; low unemployment, high wages and low cost medical treatments. None of these changes will be possible, however, unless we have a government willing to allow them. American citizens (legitimate citizens, not just residents) can vote to elect a government that is not beholden to special interest donors and lobbyists. While this sounds unlikely at the moment, it is not impossible especially if the comatose voters who got us into this mess wake up.

This is the message we have to get out, especially to young voters who are being so horribly abused by the current administration. Unfortunately many of these kids will vote to destroy their own futures in exchange for abortion rights and gay marriage.
There is an entrenched governing elite and attendant bureaucracy in Washington and throughout the country who need government-dependent voters to secure their power and personal gravy-train. It’s just not as easy to lord over and skim off of a free, prosperous society.
And yes, the Saudis are happily funding the anti-fracking movement.
If you thought those were winners, wait until the Dems start throwing out Groupons for student loan forgiveness.
I don’t think we will see low gasoline prices (~$2.00/gallon) because it just costs more to get at ours, and most of the new supplies around the world.
However, we can have ample and secure supplies as we keep on developing the resources we have.

This will never happen, although it might be proposed over and over again so that “Greedy Evil Republicans” can shoot it down.
Once a kid has that student loan forgiven he or she can start saving money, maybe buy a house and next thing you know they’re concerned about their own economic well-being and voting Republican.
