Same-sex marriage is a contradiction in terms. How stupid if Virginia goes that route. Civil Unions, well that’s a horse of a different color, but marriage between the same sex is a non sequitur.
Hell no! If they don’t let you marry your sister in Virginia they shouldn’t let brothers marry!
Done.
Have you all read some of the comments? Yikes! We’re becoming a nation of fags. How long is God going to let this go on? How long did Sodom last?
Done.
Some of the comments are unnerving.
virginia citizens already answered this question themselves.
“comments?”
Seems like Virginia is at least 75% gayo if you believe the comments.
Keep Virginia Virgin -— or sumpin like dat.
Remember, this is the Compost...only brain dead, confirmed lib tard, top 1%ers read the stupid rag...
Think all the illegals in PWm Co will vote for “gay marriage”?
No mas, cabron....
what difference does it make what the people want?
Some puke judge that ought be “hanged” will rule it unconstitutional.
Virginia’s amendment not only bans civil unions but anything approximating civil unions. The AG at the time had to clarify that adults could have private contracts because the language is pretty much the toughest of any the state marriage amendments. That’s why it only got 57% in 2006 when all the other states that had amendments passed theirs in the mid 70% + ranges, in my opinion.
Freegards
Seems to be rigged, but the comments are unnerving. I hope these people get their comeuppance if the stock tank is a sign of an economic downturn. Let’s hope they all join the unemployment line.
Democrat Attorney General Mark R. Herring evidently earned his law credentials in Virginia. So if legal majority Virginia voters do not want gay marriage recognized in their state, then they better start questioning what their state’s law schools are actually teaching about the federal government’s constitutionally limited powers and 10th Amendment-protected state powers.
Regarding 10th Amendment, note that the Founding States had made that amendment to clarify the following. The Constitution’s silence on any issue, so-called gay rights and marriage as examples, automatically makes such issues uniquely 10th Amendment-protected state issues.
In fact, since the states have never amended the Constitution to expressly protect gay rights, there is nothing stopping the states from making laws which discriminate against such rights, as long as such laws don’t also abridge constitutionally enumerated rights.
Not just no, But Hell no over my dead body. 97% of the population does not need to kowtow to the aberrant 3%.
the side by side comments are amazing. almost too predictable to read
yeses all canned ZOMBIE bumper sticker material
