A tourist from Pittsburgh and his Brooklyn pal were robbed at gunpoint, at 12:30 am today in Central Park, cops said.

The victims were on West 64 St. near West Dr. when they were approached by two men.

“Don’t move, don’t make noise or I’ll kill you,” one of the suspects said as he pulled out a gun, cops said.

“What you got? Don’t move, give me your money,” a second suspect asked.

Carry two wallets when in “gun-free” zones. One wallet is real, the other stuffed with a few $1’s and fake credit cards (no real ID/names).

Hand over that 2nd dummy wallet to the muggers, not the real wallet.

My Mama told me to stay out of Central Park after dark....in 1972. Seemed like good advice then, and after reading this story it seems like good advice now.

Missing from the NY Post “reporting”:

The armed mugger is described as black, in his early 20s, about 6-foot tall and slim, wearing a dark green winter coat and blue jeans.

His accomplice is described as Hispanic, in his late 20s, 5-foot-6, medium build, with long black hair in a ponytail and wearing a sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Whole thing heads to the memory hole.

Suggest we might have a “memoryhole” keyword that we can include on stories that we believe are headed to the memory hole.

Then, using that keyword, someone could check on “memoryhole” stories every once in a while to check on whether they were indeed disappeared.

What a wonderful example of the diversity in NYC - blacks and Hispanics working side by side for a shared purpose.

Do I really need a sarcasm tag? I hope not.

Good thing New York City has strict gun laws. If not the guy from Brooklyn and his pal might have been armed and hurt the two young victims of the mean racist streets.
Whew, an other outbreak of racism prevented by the Sullivan Act. Do I really need to label this SARCASM?

My feeling too, wasn’t this activity considered so normal that it was routinely included in movies set in New York?
