Not possible. The ever affable nannie bloomers said guns ain’t allowed in central park. Probably even said robbers ain’t allowed in central park.
Why is this story even news?
Carry two wallets when in “gun-free” zones. One wallet is real, the other stuffed with a few $1’s and fake credit cards (no real ID/names).
Hand over that 2nd dummy wallet to the muggers, not the real wallet.
DiBlasio era begins a few days early....
My Mama told me to stay out of Central Park after dark....in 1972. Seemed like good advice then, and after reading this story it seems like good advice now.
Missing from the NY Post “reporting”:
The armed mugger is described as black, in his early 20s, about 6-foot tall and slim, wearing a dark green winter coat and blue jeans.
His accomplice is described as Hispanic, in his late 20s, 5-foot-6, medium build, with long black hair in a ponytail and wearing a sweatshirt and blue jeans.
It had to be a Pop Tart.
LOL! Any pics of the perp with crumbs on his face?
Whole thing heads to the memory hole.
Suggest we might have a “memoryhole” keyword that we can include on stories that we believe are headed to the memory hole.
Then, using that keyword, someone could check on “memoryhole” stories every once in a while to check on whether they were indeed disappeared.
We’ll it’s a pretty shabby way to treat a couple a impromptu NYC Ambassadors out only to wish a wandering tourista or so... a

Just our friendly little way of saying:
WELCOME TO NEW YORK!
NOW GET OUT.
What a wonderful example of the diversity in NYC - blacks and Hispanics working side by side for a shared purpose.
Do I really need a sarcasm tag? I hope not.
My feeling too, wasn’t this activity considered so normal that it was routinely included in movies set in New York?
Exactly what I thought of. Lol
“A man doesn’t stand over you at 4 am in a cape if he doesn’t have knife, does he?!”
among the funniest movies ever made.....
