HONOLULU (AP) — The pilot of the plane that crashed off Molokai said he broadcast a mayday call once he realized he wouldn't be able to sustain a glide long enough to reach land after his engine lost power. [....] However, NTSB spokesman Eric Weiss has said the agency is not preventing the county from releasing findings from Fuddy's autopsy, which was conducted Friday.

Doesnt sound like much of a decision. If you have no power and can’t reach land there aren’t too many other alternatives.

so the real question is which government agency screwed with the engine?

Choomgangicide rears its ugly head, again and again.

“The last time he saw Fuddy, she seemed fine, he said. “It was devastating to say the least,” he said of learning later that she had died. “I could not understand how that could have happened....everybody seemed fine when we got out of the airplane.””

Does anyone know why she happened to be on that particular plane? Was it something routine for her?

The Hawaiian Department of Health (HDOH) was responsible for the leper colony at Kalaupapa, and Fuddy was the mayor of the county. She and her Deputy Director Keith Yamamoto were making an annual visit to the community. In her capacity as the official responsible for the community, she was also there to settle a dispute between the residents. In addition, her mother lived in the colony until her death ~1996/7 IIRC.

There are plenty of amateur pilots who try to turn back, crash, and die. This pilot made the professional decision.

“Obamacide? “

Unlikely. This would be one heck of a complicated hit if it was planned. There were WAY too many things that could have gone wrong. It’s much simpler to just have them die cleaning a gun. Or, alternatively, they could accidently overdose. The could have an allergic reaction. A hit and run is always popular. A fatal late night mugging is an option. But buggering an engine, then having somebody on board who could make sure she was killed...WAY too many things could go wrong with that, including the plane auguring in and killing the killer.

Yeah, I’m sure Obama swam right up and shot her with his harpoon gun.

So is it correct that the pilot is saying she seemed fine AFTER the “landing” but then....she died later.

Maybe a target of opportunity?

I agree with you that AS A PLAN this would not be a very good one.

Great theory, but I don’t think the autopsy shows harpoon wound and I believe Obama was not near Hawaii at the time
