No, Fla State is going to win it's match against Duke.

And both teams in the SEC title game only have one loss, so if Ohio St. loses, one of them will be #2.

Ala. is done.

Never mind the stupid game, was that Bama quarterbacks girl friend there???? /S she a Purdy thaing. McCarron kissed a very purdy thing with a sympathetic look on her purdy face, on the sidelines as he was leaving. So his girlfriend was there, or he just found a new one.

I've never ever seen a field goal attempt being caught and ran back,

Really? It used to be fairly common. There were a couple of rule changes that changed that. First, a failed FG attempt was treated the same way as punt, if it hit the end zone it was a touchback. Nowadays the defending team takes possession at the point where the ball was kicked, not the line of scrimmage. Second the goal posts were moved back from the front of the end zone to back, to discourage field goal attempts. The difference between a field goal and a punt is contact with the ground. If ball does not contact ground before being kicked, it is punt and will not count as a score even if it splits the uprights. If the *kicker* drops the ball on the ground and kicks the rebound, it is a "drop kick" and will count as field goal if it splits the uprights. Doug Flutie, formerly with the Canadian Football League, is the only one to have done this in the last seventy years in the NFL.

I just want to know what Richt and Saban did to piss off the football gods.

I am not convinced that Marshall was not over the line of scrimmage when he passed for Auburn’s fourth touchdown. They reviewed just about every other play, why not this one?

Conservatives ARE one - dimensional. Laughed at in the larger media.

I am sadden by your inability to form a coherent thought and blind hatred toward the small minority of conservatives that do not want to be deluged with the filth that permeates the airways and professional football. They are the minority and it is their right and choice to be disgusted by the filth. If the enjoyment of a GAME is not outweigh by their disgust, it is their choice not yours. They have a choice on how they want to be entertain without society making the decision or being prejudged.

As far as conservatives being one - dimensional you could not be further from the truth. By and large the majority conservatives are the hard working employees, military (most are conservative) and business owners of America. The vast majority like sports, God and country. The people that know the value of work and resent government handouts. Conservatives are the backbone of our society, what makes America strong; not the leeches and free handout crowd. Conservatives are the leaders in EVERY industry, the force that binds this country together. The first to provide support and the last to leave in an emergency.

And yes we are laugh at by large media. So what?

One of the best finishes in college football history, and probably the best in a highly significant game.

Check out Sportscenter this morning. They showed a few fan reactions captured on cell phones at home. Hilarious!

They got all of the replays wrong except for the last one. Never seen that before.

No one is mentioning the 99 yard pass play. I am an FSU fan and stop watching the game after the series following the 99 yard pass. When Auburn went for a 4th and 1 and failed to make it. I said to myself, heck Alabama has good field position and just broke Auburn’s spirit. There is no sense in watching. FSU is playing Alabama for the championship. Bad decision to say the least.

Or else he's in a heap of trouble. From the nature of the kiss, I was purdy sure it wasn't his sister.

First of all, my rant was in response to the original poster who asserted that watching college football would make us appear multi - dimessional. Of course, that is the opposite of true. It plays INTO sterotype, but that's fine. My greater point is that a LOT of Freepers like to affect an image of "conservatism" that they feel separates them from their stereotype of liberals. Hence, the fixation with bacon, the Dynasty Duck morons, 60 yr old westerns, and Daryl from Walking Dead. It's all an image, and one that is making fools of the rest of us. So yes, I'm going to call it out.

The kicker had already missed a couple of chip shots, so I can't question the call that much.

Check out this compilation of fan reactions. Enjoy!

I'm an Auburn fan. WAR EAGLE!

But I do NOT hate UA. Without UA, some of the best, most exciting football ever played would have never happened. Without UA, a great rivalry would not exist.

If anything, I admire & respect UA, looking forward to many more years of great competition.

No one can deny that between the 2 teams they regularly produce some of the best college football teams in the nation.

So, WAR EAGLE but also ROLL TIDE!

As for Obamacare, I hate anything that rapes the American people.

Well I am wishing that both Michigan State and Duke win their next games.

Let's have Auburn and Bama in the BCS Championship game against each other.
