A Generation of Robots — What Godless Schools Create
PJ Media ^ | 10/4/2013 | Janine Turner

We need God back in the schools. It is of no use to educate our children, creating active, imaginative, smart minds, if we send them out into the world with no coping skills and no moral compass. We are spitting kids out of America’s school system like new cars from an assembly line — robotic, scientific empty vessels.

We are creating socially challenged generations who are discovering it is hard to cope in the cold, cruel world, not to mention during their challenging school years. Why? They need the foundation of faith – a faith of their choice — during their formative years. They deserve the freedom to discuss God at school, especially since many do not get this opportunity at home.

Some may disagree but it sure seems like the morals have gone down the tubes even further since I was in school. Never claimed to be an angel but, dang. Besides which, it's another shameless Janine plug. LOL!

You can’t teach someone how to live, until you also teach them how to die.

I agree. In my high school (1500 from 10-12 grades) days (mid 70’s) the big scandal was the one or two girls that got pregnant and disappeared. We knew who all the dopers were and avoided them. There were fights but they were stopped and if further action was needed it was settled in gym class. Foul language was swiftly punished as was disrespect.

My uninformed opinion is when we try to force races and genders to accept each other and come together in the name of diversity we damage the synergy of the groups. we were simply not meant to be all one big happy homogenous bowl of mutts. We were maybe a 1/4 - 1/3 black and we interacted in class and sports, but basically segregated ourselves. There was not one “race” incident that I can remember. We had just a quiet acceptance. There were only 2 or 3 kids that we thought might be queer but they in a million years would never have admitted it so they just hung out like everyone else.

Same for the smaller cliques like jocks, cowboys, nerds, and dopers. Very rarely did you cross those social lines outside of school.

Now everything is forced together so everyone can be accepted and there are no outcasts. By forcing people together instead of letting the natural progression occur we screw up more than we fix.

Sadly, this is the way things are going. My apologies for letting your generation down.

Forgot to add, with some of you getting it, there may be hope after all. I know there are youngsters out there that to get it but they are largely outnumbered. Keep up the good fight.

“God at school, especially since many do not get this opportunity at home.”

That is the fault of mom and dad. Parents should teach their kids about God. The school or someone else might differ as to what “God” is and mom and dad don’t want this taught, or at least have their kids ready for it.

“They deserve the freedom to discuss God at school, especially since many do not get this opportunity at home.”

So the goal here is to eagerly hand over religious instruction to the State?

She made good points. Alas, I was hoping she would offer solutions.

Hmm, I tried to add “moralabsolutes” as a keyword and couldn’t. Is the keyword thing not working?
