no, they will simply pivot and say that humans are actually causing global cooling will all the carbon dioxide and pollutants and thus we need to crack down on these things even more.

Never in a MILLION years will the left advocate for us to polute more to help save the planet from an impending ice age.

Answer: whatever the temperature is as the time is the optimal temperature.

But if all of the “bad things” that humans are doing are causing global warming, wouldn’t logic dictate that in order to counteract global cooling we should do more of the “bad things?”

Answer- yes. And the global warming investment world would have had people directed to the warming and....voila made a killing in oil/carbon stocks— the works. Taking actions designed to prevent global warming in theory anyway would—accentuate cooling. Great job algore you pimp. And Golden Slacks.

yep, which is why at some point they will have to pivot and say their original analysis was wrong and that humans are actually causing global cooling :)

Because under no circumstances will the assault on capitalism cease.

Looks like Time will have to dust off their infamous “global cooling” cover that they did in the 70’s...that is, if anyone reads that rather expensive bird cage liner anymore.

Sunspots have been very active this month. Probably the highest they’ve been this max. I thought we had passed the max.

Magnetic strength has been very weak this solar maximum. Sunspot numbers are all biased by who and how the counting is done. For example a sunspot number of 90 today actually translates to a number of 50 once corrected to accurately compare it to sunspot counts from over a hundred years ago. So we are still in a weak solar maximum. Perhaps the second peak or second group of spikes in sunspot formation. Sunspots are just an approximation for total solar activity levels.

You’re correct, of course.

But the sad reality is that the average 20-something knows lots more about “climate change” than the US Constitution.

“Let a thousand flowers bloom,” so we can cut their heads off. Nice predictable Marxism.

We might just as easily be heading into a major glaciation period. Historical records show we are due for it if past patterns hold. It won’t be fun if we are.

Yes, perhaps a second peak of a weak solar max.

You should read the novel, “Fallen Angels” (1991) Larry Niven, Jerry Pournelle, and Michael Flynn. I used to think it was science fiction. But as I get older it seems like it gets closer and closer to reality. Basically, its about what happens when the Greens take over the Government and bring about a real Ice Age.

That’s so 1970’s.

LOL, yep, I think they were saying this in 1975.

What??!!

Do you mean to tell me the author actually thinks that the sun is responsible for the temperature on earth? I mean, come on man - Sol is 93,000,000 miles away! How much can it possibly affect us?
