"Introducing" customs and practices more primitive than history itself.

Mohammed would be so proud!

I have no problem with some corporal punishment. Caning would do our society some good for the most reprehensible deviants.

I believe there were several. The man who now will allow adulterers to be stoned to death was famous for having a harem full of American girls selected from such fine institutions as Playboy.

I'm curious how they will do that gradually. Will they start with death by stoning for adulterers and female rape victims, then the next year add severing of limbs for theft, and the following year introduce flogging? Or will they start with whippings/beatings for all "crimes" and then work their way up from floggings for everyone to partial severing of limbs for theft after the first year of floggings and then complete severing a year later, and throwing a few rocks at adulterers the first year, adding an extra rock per year until the punishment is consistently fatal?

I thought Beyoncé was involved in a entertainment gig in the ME, but I am not certain it was in Brunei.

According to every PC art exhibit since the fall of 2001, Islamic society made advancements in non-figurative decorative artworks. Or something.

I was once offered a job at the University in Brunei, I turned it down after talking to someone at HKU who had worked there.

After he arrived he was staying a hotel until he could find a place to live. On Sunday morning he asked the Hotel clerk for directions to the LEGAL STATE APPROVED Roman Catholic cathedral and was arrested and held in jail for 3 week for insulting Islam. It was evidently blasphemous for this hotel clerk to even know the location of the church.

Needless to say the guy left that tropical Hell-hole as soon as they let him leave

If they are moving to a stricter version of Islamic law then that is going to be a truly horrible place
