The vote to table was 54 Dems vs 46 Repubs. No filibuster apparently was allowed due to deal McConnell and company agreed to earlier this year.
Now the senate is open for debate til 4:00 at which Reid reserves the right to speak...
Well I am not listening any further...we know the outcome here...and the senators are just flapping their jaws as part of the theater.....
Sending it back to the house means nothing at this point...the shutdown will and should happen.
What about the idea I read/heard about earlier that would “pass” Obamacare, with the stipulation that all carve outs and exemptions currently issued be eliminated? Wouldn’t that put some real pressure on the ‘Rats?

The CR is spending at a level past the Sequester limits. This is insanity. They will take the deficit back up to north of $1 Trillion immediately.
Ok, so we said defund Obamacare and we will otherwise fund the government.

Ok, so we said fund Obamacare but delay it and kill the medical device tax and otherwise fund the government.

Now, we should say fine, fund Obamacare, don’t delay it for anyone and end the congressional subsidy.

Dems wont give up on Obamacare..progressives have been waiting for as long as they can remember to control people’s healthcare, to have the power to decide on who lives and who dies..they won’t give up that power no matter how unpopular the bill is
No, Reid will say yes, Obama will sign it and one night in the next 2-3 weeks they will put it back into the bill and no one will be any the wiser.
