Undercover Cops Hired To Wear Opposing Team’s Uniform

The cops will give up within 30 minutes because they will find there are too many to arrest or the jail will be too full to arrest anyone else.

Theres must be something inherently sinister about Oakland.. if you ask me

What else could explain the fact that both the Hell’s Angels and the Black Panthers originated in Oakland?

I once lived there....for a SHORT time.

I'm betting that there aren't any cops in 49ers jerseys at all. I'm thinking that just saying there will be undercover cops is supposed to be a deterrent.

After a few unruly fans get shot, perhaps the rest will start behaving.

Are the cops lobbying for the right of unruly fans to bring their dogs?

The one at the Superdome? IIRC Oakland won handily.

Bait Car, step aside; time for Bait-Shirt!

I approve of this obvious attempt to set up team oriented evildoers. Now, if we could just walk Bait-Whites through the hoods and the malls...

At Arrowhead Stadium, they announce a phone number, and encourage you to text it and turn in rowdy fans.

Last year it didn’t work so well. “Hey some guy with a paper bag over his head spilled beer on me” wasn’t a unique enough description.

We have great fans,” said Seahawks president Peter McLoughlin.

If that was true you would not need to run a police sting operation on them..

I believe the most recent shooting a an NFL venue was in SF. I cannot.recall of hearing about a shooting at the Raider games in Oakland. BTW, those fans in Oakland know how to tailgate and have a party!

In some cases, excessive consumption of alcohol might be involved. The game is just an excuse to party and get drunk.

OK now that was pretty stupid comment

Its A GAME

You make fun of the opposing team supporters, but you don’t get violent with them.

I was at a Bills game and a guy was in front of me wearing a Miami shirt- and he had to endure chants of “a$$hole a$$hole ...” etc.. but when one idiot rushed him about 10 more bills fans stopped him and gave him a good beat down.

We got some damn good fans here in Buffalo

I agree with you completely. Getting in fights over sports is stupid.

My point is that if the home team's fans are rowdy enough that the cops feel they need to go "undercover" in the opposing team's uniforms, they are putting themselves at risk. I guess that's what they get paid for, but still - they need to have a stratey to back each other up, in case trouble starts.

They could save a lot of time and hassle.. just blow marijuana fumes into the stadium bleachers before kickoff and at half time .. oh wait, half the crowd is probably stewed anyway... don’t try this in Oakland. baiting , that is.

Most of these fights start with drunk guys giving each other a friendly ribbing that gets unfriendly. Remember alcohol is an inhibition remover, which helps minor bad moods turn into major bad moods very quickly, and that’s when you get situation escalation.

You get 75 thousand people in one building a few of them are bound to be problems. Doesn’t mean the group as a whole is bad, it’s just statistics.

Are they getting OT on the taxpayer dime?

Is there so little crime that they have sufficient time, resources and manpower to spend taxpayer money on this?
