Justice Scalia: ‘I Hate The Redskins’ (Cowboys fan)
Washington CBS ^ | September 9th, 2013

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia’s opinions are often viewed as controversial.

This time, however, a question posed by the Houston Chronicle to the justice elicited an answer that may anger a new group of people – football fans in Washington, DC.

“I’m not really much of a football fan,” he told the paper, when asked whether or not he supports the Washington Redskins. “To the extent I am, I hate the Redskins. In fact, I always root for Dallas,” Scalia replied.

There are two games each year where I root for the Giants. Same goes for the Eagles.

I'm rooting for the Denver in some games as well. I'm a fan of Peyton Manning.

I also like Green Bay.

Tell me what Romo did last night that was pathetic. Romo didn’t try to force the ball down field, he took what the defense gave him. His one INT was on the WR. Romo played a pretty good game. So again, please point out where his performance was pathetic.

The defense did most of the scoring. How many touchdowns did Romo engineer during the first half? By the way, I too, am a Cowboy fan—have been for 40 years.

He did not score the first half, while New York played like crap. If the Giants had played even an average game of the old Oilers the Cowboys would have lost. Even the Giants coach and the commentators said that was the worst game they ever saw the Giants play. And if Ely had not been intercepted the last drive, it is very probable that the Giants would have tied up the game, and who knows what overtime would bring? Romo has to go.

You still haven’t shown where Romo’s performance was terible. Romo played well he took the throws the defense gave him. He didn’t force anything. Much of the Cowboys problems stem from play calling and lack of a running game. While the defense forced 6 turnovers, they did allow Manning to pass for over 400yds and 4 TD’s. Romo doesn’t play defense. So again be specific and point out Romo’s bad play last night.

>>Seriously?

Romo played a nearly flawless game.<<

4 turnovers and only 3 points?

I am not sure what game you were watching. Maybe one with Rodger Staubach throwing to Drew Pearson...

When I started traveling to DC after I moved to Dallas, the TSA guys in DC would inevitably look at my TX license and as “are you a Cowboys Fan?”

My answer is always the same:

“When you move to Dallas, they staple one of those giant foam ‘Cowboys #1’ fingers to your forehead.

It isn’t a choice...”

(always gets a laugh)
