Labor Recovery Leaves More Workers Behind

The long, slow recovery in the U.S. job market is leaving ever-more Americans on the sidelines—and complicating the calculus for Federal Reserve policy makers weighing when the economy can get by with less help.

But beneath such positive numbers lay evidence of a job market stuck in second gear. The government revised down its estimate for June and July hiring by a combined 74,000 jobs, and a disproportionate share of the jobs that are being added are in low-paying sectors such as restaurants and retail. At the recent pace of hiring, the economy won't get back to prerecession levels of employment, adjusting for population growth, for more than eight years.

This sort of article is another classic example of the media covering for Obama. They constantly push this idea that there is some sort of “recovery” going on. There isn’t, but they don’t want America to know that. The furthest they will go toward the truth is usually something like, “Recovery not as quick as some hope” or “Recovery real, despite jobless numbers.” They will NEVER admit there is not a “recovery.”

This all hearkens back to the old conspiracy theory that megawealthy figures like Soros intentionally tanked the economy during the 2008 election so Obama could ride in like a white knight and save it.

Hasn’t worked out that way, but you’d never know it by reading the papers.

Of course not, he owns them too.

I’ve just given up on reality. Whoo hoo their coming to take me away haha, their coming to take me away.

Seriously though, you can’t expect the truth from the true who holds the wealth. Which at one point would have made me think I need to sing the above song. Now... not so much.

WHAT RECOVERY?! WHAT IN THE HELL ARE THEY TALKING ABOUT?!

My first thought exactly.
My second thought was, "This crap is in the formerly respectable Wall Street Journal?? Don't they have editors anymore?"

"long, slow recovery" my rear end. We are still going BACKWARDS you lying morons.

If President Palin were in office right now the media would be screaming worse economy since the Great Depression! Since it’s Obama though it’s the jobless,no growth, part time work but still amazing we’re finally getting over the evil Bush who made too a big a mess to clean up but Obama’s doing amazing miracles in spite of the republicans obstructing him economic recovery!

If President Palin were in office, they would be deriding a 5.9 percent GDP growth, 300,000 new full time jobs created per week and 3.2 percent unemployment as a frelling recession!
