A judge tossed all charges, including murder, against a Laotian woman accused of running over her boyfriend with her car last year after a tequila-infused fight.

Sounilak Ouchlaeun, 34, was facing murder and felony driving under the influence charges for backing over Conrado Mendoza with her 2010 Toyota Venza on Nov. 19, 2012, in the driveway of the couple’s Spring Valley home.

The judge is likely a fan of Elvis Costello. Accidents will happen.

‘We don’t charge people with murder for accidents’

Well, no, because if it is an accident, it isn’t murder.

The question is, was it an accident?

But yet there’s this poor woman in a Texas jail who ran over her husband a couple of times because she saw him coming out of a hotel with her on his arm. It was a pathetic courtroom drama and you really had to feel sorry for her. Her husband was a real creep.

accused of running over her boyfriend with her car last year after a tequila-infused fight.

You say accident, I say tequila-infused driving.

How drunk was she when she tried to drive? If she did have that blood alcohol level and she killed someone other than her boyfriend would the judge have dismissed that as an accident?

She got the P*ssy pass.

Its my understanding that deaths caused by drunk drivers usually end up being prosecuted even if the drunk driver didn't intend to kill anyone.

If the fight was “tequila-infused,” then people can be and are charged with murder for accidents. It is called vehicular homicide if you accidentally kill someone while driving drunk.

The judge is probably hoping the lady will lie down for him in gratitude.

This was mentioned later in the article:

While Ouchlaeun may have been drunk when she drove over her boyfriend in the small driveway, the judge ruled in favor of public defender Christy Craig’s argument. Craig asserted the prosecution didn’t have grounds to charge Ouchlaeun with DUI because she didn’t make it on to the public street.

It really sounds like the judge has the hots for this woman. His comments sound like those of a love-struck teenager.

"Craig asserted the prosecution didn’t have grounds to charge Ouchlaeun with DUI because she didn’t make it on to the public street."

I've heard of people being ticketed when their tabs are expired even if the car is parked in their driveway. This whole thing seems bogus, and I think the judge is looking for some grateful pussy.

Maybe not DUI, IF being on a public street is essential for that crime, but even on private property drunkenness can be a basis for a charge of negligent homicide.

Murdering someone with a car will always result in a shorter prison term than killing with a gun.

That psycho woman in Texas deliberately ran over him several times. She kept circling around, again and again to keep running him over.
Thank god she’s locked up.
Since when does being cheated on give license to commit murder?

A neighbour got a seat belt ticket for putting the dang thing on WHILE STOPPED in the driveway.

Click it or ticket...

Didn’t the powers that be tell us that seatbelts were only going to be checked IF you were stopped for something else?
