The big eastern US earthquake region is the New Madrid fault along the Mississippi River. It would make sense to not preposition emergency supplies there, because the four 1811-1812 earthquakes were from 7.0-8.1 estimated intensity and could wipe out anything there, so they would be kept in an adjacent region.
Then wouldn’t they be stockpiling in Colorado/Nebraska/New Mexico...
