A cop guarding Gracie Mansion and firefighters teamed up to save a woman who fell into the East River early Saturday while trying to retrieve a dropped cellphone, sources said.
A bystander flagged down a nearby officer after seeing the unidentified woman splash into the water on the upper East Side about 5:40 a.m., authorities said.
