It's a son for Will and Kate!
FOX NEWS ^ | 07/22/2013

It’s a boy.

Prince William and Kate Middleton became parents of an 8 lb. 6 ounce baby boy late Monday afternoon.

Both mother and child were reported doing well and will remain in the hospital overnight.

Prince William was present for the birth at 4:24 p.m., according to a press release from the royal household. The release also said the name of the baby, the couple’s first, would be announced “in due course.”

The baby will be third in line to the throne after his grandfather, Prince Charles, and his father. Crowds massed outside Buckingham Palace where a formal announcement of the baby’s birth was posted to cheers Monday night.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived at St. Mary’s Hospital – where William and his brother Harry also were born – early Monday morning.

It was not immediately clear how long labor lasted or whether the child was delivered by natural birth or caesarian section.

Prince Charles issued a statement Monday night saying, "Both my wife and I are overjoyed at the arrival of my first grandchild. It is an incredibly special moment for William and Catherine and we are so thrilled for them on the birth of their baby boy.

The name of the baby will be .. George.

After George Zimmerman (OOOPS), I mean King George, father of the Queen.

RE: I was surprised to see that they named the kid Trayvon.

Ahhh, but what if they name him George? ( after all GZ and the Queen’s father have the same name)?

Do we expect Al Sharpton to organize a protest in England?

I don’t accept the concept of royalty, so I couldn’t care less.

My guess is George, after Zimmerman ( or maybe after Elizabeth’s dad ).

I’m going to say the same thing here that I said at FB. If you don’t care, then don’t comment. WTF is with all the joy-killers? Grumpy-assed people. It’s a nice story. And while it might not be a big deal to most of us here it’s a big deal to the Brits and it ought to be.

Any time a baby is born it’s a beautiful thing.

Instead of wasting 10 seconds posting how you don’t care how about you just scroll right over it? Does claiming not to care somehow make you a more contentious concerned citizens than the rest of us who actually think a break from the bullshit of our reality is kind of nice? Are we somehow going to forget about the crisis we’re in because a royal baby was born?

Cripes people. smh

Sorry, no Trayvon on the list. But George ( as in Zimmerman) is at the top...

I believe William IV was the oldest person ever to become king of the UK, about two months shy of his 65th birthday.

Prince Charles will pass that barrier in a few months.

George III had nine sons. Two became king, two died before George III died, two others died before their brothers the kings died - but three were still alive when Victoria was queen.

I'm still unsure why she became queen instead of her surviving uncles.

It’s always nice to see someone “having” a baby instead of murdering it before it has a chance to live.

Who? What?

This falls lower in the scheme of things than the latest movie start to overdose or sports star who assaulted someone. Or, as my DI in bootcamp would have said about it’s importance: “lower than whale shit and that’s at the bottom of the ocean”.

Maybe the fact that as a people we supposedly set aside any idea of the importance of a monarchy 237 years ago.
