Astronomy Picture of the Day -- Earth and Moon from Saturn
NASA ^ | July 22, 2013 | (see photo credit)

Explanation: You are here.

Everyone you've ever known is here. Every human who has ever lived -- is here. Pictured above is the Earth-Moon system as captured by the Cassini mission orbiting Saturn in the outer Solar System. Earth is the brighter of the two spots near the center, while the Moon is visible to its lower left. The unprocessed image shows several streaks that are not stars but rather cosmic rays that struck the digital camera while it was taking the image. The image was snapped by Cassini on Friday and released on Saturday. At nearly the same time, many humans on Earth were snapping their own pictures of Saturn.

I can think of a few who may not be...

I thought the moon would be larger compared to the Earth size. I would love to see what Jupiter looks like from Saturn, but now that I think about it Jupiter is probably as far from Saturn as Jupiter is from Earth.

Curious as to why you would think an object 1/4 the size of the earth would appear larger?

They say it’s a picture of the earth and moon. NASA is part
of the regime ya know. Could be a lie.

Not larger than the Earth, LOL. I meant larger than it appears in the photo in comparison with the earth. It looks much smaller than 1/4th.

Everyone you’ve ever known is here.

&&&
I found that sentence odd, as well. The physical remains of people I’ve known are indeed here, but there are many who are in heaven now.

Jupiter is closer to the Earth than it is to Saturn.

How sweet it is ... to forget about Hell.

Oh, I did not forget about hell. I am just hoping that nobody I have known has ended up there. :)

(Actually, before I edited it, my comment that you responded to, did mention hell. Note my use of the word “many” regarding those who did make it.)
