What if George Zimmerman had approached his “neighborhood watch mission” carrying Christ’s parable of the Good Samaritan in his heart?
Did Zimmerman’s concept of “who is my neighbor?” correspond to Christ’s?
What if foremost in Zimmerman’s mind had been Christ’s message of “blessed are” the meek, the peacemakers, the merciful?
What if he had had the courage and wisdom to remember the Bible’s many admonitions to “fear not” and cheerfully engage Trayvon in conversation, giving the young man a chance to show his attitude without being put on the defensive?
While the jury’s outcome may be in line with current legal constraints, moral justice has certainly not been served, and we are all now less secure in our personal liberties. Zimmerman’s brand of vigilantism befriends a police state, rather than civilized “rule of law.”
My heart aches for the family and friends of Trayvon, and trembles that so many of my countrymen want their versions of Christianity in our laws and schools, yet have no concern about Zimmerman’s handling of this incident in such an un-Christian manner, and the law that has “rewarded” him for that.

“Blessed are the peacemakers.” This refers to those people spreading the gospel, bringing peace between sinners and God. It does not refer to Jess Jackson wannabes trying to be peacemakers between union thugs and others.
The Trayvon-Zimmerman story is the most flogged, idiotic piece of race-baiting imaginable.
Let’s all just be done with it and move on to what the criminals in government are doing to Americans.
Real Americans need to take back their government starting from the local level and moving up.

I listen to C-Span, for the whole few minutes I can stomach it without barfing (usually it’s just a few seconds, then I switch channels), and I hear blatant, childish, wacked-out, obvious lies.

Sitting there blabbering about how spending more billions is so necessary and oh so reasonable. It’s the “only thing to do”. Must spend more. Need more regulations. Need more funding. Funding. Funding. More regulations.
Probably less then 1% of the population has any grasp of the sheer magnititude of the conspiracy to spend the country into ruin, with the wealthiest/power people benefitting, even while the jack@ss unrich “activists” keep up the pressure on government and society to keep up the spending and keep piling on more regulations and laws.
Every government dollar spent goes either to a government employee - or a private sector contractor. That’s what, about 2 trillion per year now ? Oh, and don’t forget the interest to bondholders.
Virtually no one has even noticed that the Federal government has hit its debt ceiling.
Congress is mum.
All the conservatives, all the libs, all the commies, every one.
They all laugh - it’s screw the taxpayer, so let’s eat, drink and be merry down in DC.
Let alone the government promotion of immorality - by both conservatives and libs.

What if Laura Twing, of Tipton, grew a brain and began to think critically? What then? I ask.
actually, if Zimmerman didn’t have a gun with him, Martin would be alive and walking the streets today: out on bail.
But Zimmerman would still be recovering from brain damage in a rehab center.
Laura would do well to remember Christ’s earlier commandment: “You will not murder”. The physical evidence says that Martin was indeed attempting to murder George Zimmerman. In doing so, he put his own life at risk.
