Wrap your dog with duct tape. It works and it’s cheap.

Yes, I strapped one on my Doberman during a thunderstorm and he went to the back porch and laid down, hasn’t moved since.

I may have made it a little too tight as that was a week ago and he’s still right there but all swollen up and really smells bad!

So I don’t recommend it for overly frisky husbands. They’ll be o.k. on the back porch without it.

We got the “Thunder Shirt” (see post #26). They don’t always work (80% success I think?), so keep the receipt...

It made a noticeable difference for us — didn’t eliminate the problem, but really reduced the dog’s apparent anxiety to almost nothing. I’d say it’s definitely worth trying.

I don’t know how it works on other dogs but it does not work on my Shih Tzu during thunder storms or fireworks.
