I have thought about it many times. His stats would also be even better than they are if he were on a better team. He constantly throws terrific games; and, then the team behind him just sucks at the plate, he gets a loss or no-decision. Not his fault.

I have been watching the Mariners play ball for decades now and there is one thing that stands out, among all the things wrong with the team. And, that is: No matter who is on the team; no matter who is the field Manager; no matter who is the General Manager; no matter who owns the team --- they simply cannot move a runner in scoring position across the plate. I don't know what it is about this team. I have, in my frustration, decided that as soon as a player's name is stiched on the back of a Mariner's jersey, they lose the ability to bring someone across homeplate who is in scoring position.

That is only one, of the many things, that is aggravating about being a Seattle Mariners fan.
