It was he and progressive Democrat Sen. Schumer that appeared today on "Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace" and seemed to tag-team on why the "immigration" (cough) bill should be supported.
I wonder who ran faster to get in front of the lens/microphone?
A vote for S. 744 or a vote to send this to conference will end any chance of Republicans winning the presidency in 2016, given that it does not have wide-spread Tea-Party, Conservative & Libertarian support, and does not have the support of Conservative/Libertarian-leaning Independents. 2012 all over again... And thus:
They WILL be energized to primary RINOs (like Rubio, Graham, Alexander, Collins, etc, etc) in the midterms, but will NOT be energized to support the almost inevitable RINO that seems to always get the GOP presidential nomination.
Rush Limbaugh basically said that Schumer used Rubio to neutralize him, and that because Rubio was so loved by Tea Partiers that they would be loathe to criticize Rubio.
Non-RINOs in the Senate voted against the Senate bill because it is an obvious fact that it does not secure the border first (which could be done during the 2.5 years that this bill comes to fruition, when the Senate bill actually suspends border enforcement) and because this bill is not worker-visa based, but is familial-based, allowing more illegals to ultimately come in on coattails.
The bill also does not "Trust but Verify," does not have two new national security visa screening programs, does not have congressional votes on border security for five years to ensure that border security is maintained as this program rolls along, and ultimately lands the nation back in the same place it is now as the worker visa program decreases the number of agricultural visas (isn't inherently market-based), thus encouraging more and more illegals to come every year and giving us another 12 million illegals a decade from now.
What say you?

There is no justification for this, and most of America knows it. It's all propaganda.
FOX is not being fair and balanced, they're merely following through on an agreement to do the GOP bidding is all. The GOPe thinks getting these ‘thorny’ issues off the table will insure them votes they otherwise would not have gotten if illegals and homosexuals remained an issue.

Although it’s well known that he’s not a big friend of his own party, and maybe even not such a big fan of his own country, I now wonder how his and his wife’s big beer business will further prosper with the influx of cheap labor. And, of course, with obamacare on the horizon, prosper even further by making all employees part-time and dodging the health care bullet. Add all that to the handsome “campaign donations” he’s undoubtedly received, and you get a pretty tidy fortune, maybe enough to settle into the same class as his good friends Kerry and the Kennedys.
Schumer and McCain, both of exact like mind. Yet they’ll call it bipartisan and say we’ve heard from both sides, just because McCain puts an “r” next to his name.
They don’t care if the brand is discontinued, the agenda moves forward.

My wife and I have concluded that it is time to leave the GOP and go Independent.
After the vote this week, I sent a letter to the RNC with the RNC Platform Survey which I received a couple of weeks ago.
My letter was a scathing rebuke of the 14 RHINOS and the RNC. The survey I wrote on with a red marker in big letters: “no amnesty” “no abortion” “no RHINOS”
I addressed the letter and survey to the chairman.
Just watching the re-run on Fox at 6pm EST....
Schumer thinks he’s got it ALL figured out and predicts passage in the House...

SS claims many important voting blocs support reform-----Catholics, evangelicals for example.
But Schumer makes a huge mistake---thinking voters will cast their ballots based on the single issue of reform.
Yes, real Repubs (not RINOS) need to step up to the plate and reassure conservative voters-----but in no way will liberal/progressive Dems get votes based solely on reform.
