Adiaratou Sall of Hazelwood says after ten years of banking with the Gateway Metro Credit Union she was refused service, for the first time ever, because she was wearing a headbag. Tellers wanted it removed for security reasons.
KSDK The credit union says it has had a policy for years of no sunglasses, hats or hoods. Because of recent robberies the credit union is enforcing the policy more strictly. But Sall says she can vote, get a drivers license and go through airport security with the same scarf and wants to know why banking should be any different. I feel hurt, big time and violated, says Sall. Its who I am. (Oh, boo hoo)

If this is going to be acceptable as a part of discrimination in the future we should all where bags on our heads, all of us. Use the stupidty against them and thier supporters
Plastic or paper is what I want to know!!
Head BAG??? That’s what they’re called now? Not a shoulder bag? A head bag?
Most robbers don’t hold up polling places, airports or DMV offices.
I have a feeling she really, really needs a headbag, if ya’ know what I mean.
And what does that tell us about the state of affairs we are in?
Political correctness has run amok. There should never have been an exception made for head covering that in any way conceals facial features or pertinent physical characteristics.
But it is the old story of permitting the camel to put its nose inside your tent. Very shortly, the tent is occupied only by the camel, which proceeds to tear the tent apart.
And you are standing out in the cold of the desert night.
Quit feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeling so much.
What the He!! is a “headbag?”
Time to start ASSIMILATING, or just continue being, well.....
Good point Adiaratou - we’ll have to do something about letting people walk away with a driver’s license while they have a bag over their head, and of course voting with one over their head too. Thanks for bringing the inconsistency to our attention.
It may be a federal rule for federal credit unions. And if the rule applies to everybody it is evidently not discrimination.

I have seen the sign at banks, don’t know if it is an option or a ‘catchall’.
I always wear a cap and sunglasses and haven’t been asked to remove them. Of course I am at the age where they think I am ‘cute’, then again I don’t normally frequent banks where I am not ‘known’.
Also, my sunglasses are prescription so I guess if asked to take them off I should start ‘stumbling’ around and walking into things (my sight is no where near that bad, but as the LIBS say, no sense having a ‘situation’ if you can’t exploit it and make the other guy either look bad or ‘feel sorry’ for you.).
Good headbag story. Probably see more headbags.
As an aside, you'll enjoy this. Last week, at the local convenience store, I'm buying a Powerball ticket. The clerk is a very young female.. maybe 18..somewhat ditzy in appearance..and she asks me for my DOB..which is rather odd..I don't think she's hitting on me..I'm 66, so I ask her WHY?..and she looks at me and brightly says "you have to be 18 to play the lottery."
Heh. I’ve been having fun lately asking to see the clerk’s ID. “Are you old enough to sell me alcohol? Can I see your ID?”
No one expects that.
