Offshoring has really burned a lot of companies seeking “cheap” software solutions only to find out managing the results was more expensive in the long run.

lots more expensive than they thought they were.

Try being over 50 & a white male with high tech experience. Men in this category do not qualify for any job, since Affirmative Action is more important than experience.

If you are over 50 and white, start your own consulting business offering real deliverables to the corporation that laid you off. Either they found real labor that can deliver cheaper than you or they will go out of business because you either have a real benefit otherwise you are just whining.
