Historian photographs UFO hovering over historic California barn that's better known for its ghosts

A metallic flying saucer appearing no different from any Sci-Fi movie was allegedly photographed hovering over a historic Southern California barn that’s already famously known for its spooks.

Santee Historical Society researcher Ellen Henry says she was outside taking pictures of the Edgemoor Barn near San Diego when she unknowingly caught the perfectly clear cigar-shaped object hovering in the sky.

'I was constantly looking up and around the area, including the sky's background, so I can get it just right, and not at any time did I see anything in the sky, or heard a sound of an aircraft,' she later wrote with her picture.

I was thinking more along the lines of shutter speed and lack of fuzzing the image out. If the thing is moving extremely fast, a shutter speed of normal use for landscape scenes would not even catch a discernable object. Likewise, the focal distance comes into play.

I don't think it was moving. I suspect that at the end of the rope that's holding it stationary one will find either a furniture store holding a sale or a used car lot.......

To me it looks like she purposely framed that image off-center to include the UFO that she says she didn’t see.

Actually , this pic looks like the Millenium Falcon, edge-on, and since Wookiees and Big Foot look a lot alike, it leads to the speculation of Big Foot being a Wookiee long ago marooned on this planet. Maybe these are search parties? Could happen.

Can’t even tell if it’s an ‘aircraft’.

Well, I didn't say it was. I just said that it's an 'object', which appears to be flying. The only man made objects I know of that fly, are aircraft. It doesn't look like any that I'm familiar with.

I've seen a few photos and videos of flying objects that are very good, but even in this day, when nearly everyone walks around with a digital video recorder in their pocket, there are precious few videos that show these objects in close enough detail to remove all doubt about them.

Wow. Very cool pics of the A-12s in their original “boxes”.

In the late 70’s I was out on a first date with a man I had long adored. It went rather well and I was musing during the car ride home that this would be the first of many great nights.

Looking outside at the warm and beautiful night, a bright revolving light in the sky caught my eye. STOP THE CAR!!!!!!, I practically screamed. NOW! He looked confused, found a moment away from the traffic and pulled over. What's going on? Says he.

A UFO! There’ s a UFO...Flinging the door open I got out of the car and looked up.

And saw a blimp with a lit revolving sign advertising some game.....

Next time, when I find another date...I'll wear my glasses.

I was a registered MUFON field investigator. It looks like a frizbee thrown into the air and snapped at the moment it had a direction change. I guess that's a flying object, but it wouldn't be classified as an aircraft, in my book anyway.

I've seen pictures taken of lenticular clouds that look more like a flying saucer than that image in the photograph, but they aren't aricraft and wouldn't even be categorized as UFOs by MUFON.

You forgot to mention that you were also tearing off your clothes. For what it's worth, I apologize for taking off and leaving you there, I thought you were going crazy and feared for my life........

Oh, I thought UFO might have taken the barn. If the barn was missing it would be more convincing story.

Santee is near the landing path for Miramar Marine base. Back when it was a Navel Air Station the would get UFO calls for the AWACS aircraft all the time. At night the lights on the plane would light up the bottom of the dome and look really strange while landing from near Santee.

The mothership right over the barn’s roof peak look`s the most intriguing! ;)
