Nevada SB211 Goes to Nevada Assembly. Universal Background Checks.

Since the Reno Gazette Journal can't be linked, here is a short blip from today concerning Nevada and Universal Background Checks.

A bill mandating background checks almost every time a gun changes hands has cleared the Nevada Senate.

After a lengthy debate Wednesday, senators voted 11-10 along party lines advancing SB221. It now heads to the Assembly.

Several Democrats say the bill is the start of better gun policies in the Silver State.

In an effort to eliminate any cost to the state, the bill was changed to funnel background checks on all private sales directly to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System through federal firearms dealers.

The bill also requires psychiatrists to report mental health patients who make specific threats.

Nevada FReepers. Call to arms. You need to contact your Assembly-person and demand they oppose this BS legislation. I contacted mine and included the info from the DOJ and Pew research so they can have facts and not rhetoric to review. Can't say if they'll actually look at the data but we gotta try.

Elections do have consequences.

Yeah. Right. Sure it is. These asshats are typical radical left wing extremist demokkkrat scumbag socialists. One of the state senators got the quote of the day in the RGJ. “Too many children and college students are being maimed due to political foot dragging.” WTF?! Guess he was too busy sucking up to hairy screed to bother with the DOJ and Pew foundation reports. I included links for both to my local Assembly person but doubt she’ll bother to look at them. Facts and truth have no place in this “debate”. It’s much better to use talking points, rhetoric and emotion.

NV has become an eastern county of CA. Too many CA people came over for it to survive.

Will Sandoval veto this if it gets to his desk?

Roger that. If folks move here from kali, don’t start with the “That’s not how we did it in kali” crap. We don’t want to do it like kali.

Oh, look, another state that is threatening to put itself on my “Never Set Foot In Again” list.

Never underestimate the dumbassedness of legislators from hairy screed’s backyard of las vegas. Too many Didiot assmbly clowns from the las vegas area for the good guys from the rural parts of the state to overcome. At least in some matters. Sadly, it’s like most of the rest of the country these days. The population centers (welfare centers) end up usurping the rights of the woodsy folks. Sucks.

Hope he does. Hoping that Nevadans wake up before the whole state becomes Clark County. Would hate to relocate from one progressive hole(CA) to an up-and-coming one........

Well, we did relocate from a state that is fairly pro-2nd to what I thought even the Didiots would have a hard time turning the state in to a less than friendly 2nd amendment state. But, I’m doing what I can to try to keep NV on the straight and narrow but it ain’t easy with Clark county getting to call the shots due to the huge population there. If only the weather didn’t suck in FL. Couldn’t stand the humidity after 24 years. AZ too hot.
