The commissioner of the NFL, Roger Goodell, has played down speculation linking the Miami Dolphins with a possible move to Los Angeles.

Florida politicians last week rejected the Dolphins' appeal for taxpayers to partially meet the $350m (£227m) cost of redeveloping their Sun Life stadium.

These clowns don’t even know the truth here, even when I go to Dodger games. No white dude watches baseball above the lower seats. They’re all mexicans above it.

L.A. just wasn’t meant to have football. If the Rams (1946) couldn’t stay there, and they’ve gone over 15 years without a team...

In all seriousness, Oakland can’t even field enough police officers, do they really need to invest in a football stadium? I think so!!!! I live in Oakland......let the Dolphins move to LA. It’s about time some other team threaten to move. Keep the Raiders, A’s, and Warriors in Oakland!!

“Why does LA need another football team? “

I saw the logo and thought you meant LA = Louisiana = LSU. Then I managed to see the fine print. Occidental College - I’ve heard of it, but had no idea where it was.

Oxy is in Eagle Rock, a suburb of northeastern Los Angeles. It’s very liberal. Obama went there for 2 years....and you would think he graduated from there based on the number of Obama related stuff the school pumps out. Jack Kemp did graduate from there and barely got any publicity from the school.

I think the Marlins problem is that they seem to embrace Latin America for marketing. They even built the stadium in Little Havana at the old Orange bowl site.

The thing is the majority of th people who went to the games, especially in 1997 and 2003 were Americans and mostly white from Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach county. Additionally after both World Series they had a garage sale of all the great players on those teams. They have abused their fan base throughout their entire history. They reap what they sow.

Occidental College on the western slope of Fiji Hill in Eagle Rock, Calif. Jack Kemp, the Congressman, Cabinet member, VP candidate and conservative war horse graduated from Oxy in 1957. Another guy who gets a lot of attention in the news media also attended Oxy, but he didn't graduate from there.

The Dolphins will just have to keep bribing county officials until they agree.

The corrupt bastards are just holding out for more cash before they agree to hand over the taxpayers money.

They do honor Kemp. In 2011, I attended the ceremony in which the football stadium at Oxy was named Jack Kemp Stadium. However, there's a shrine--the school's term, not mine--in the library to that other guy who went to Oxy.

When I was there, the school was called Moscow on the Hill by residents of the surrounding neighborhood because it was so left-wing. Today, they probably call it Pyongyang on the Hill.

I was a fanatic Rams supporter, especially in the days George Allen ran the team. However, the antics of the team's owners (is that where the word "onerous" comes from?) eventually made me disgusted with the NFL.

Today, I don't follow the NFL at all--I couldn't even tell you who won the last Super Bowl. But I will be in the Coliseum cheering on the USC Trojans at every home game this fall, even though it is expected to be a lousy season.

Really? I only saw him in one game, but the freshman quarterback I saw last year, was one of the best freshman QBs I’ve ever seen. He was scary. Should be better than Palmer,Linehart, Sanchez, and Barkley put together. What is his name? If I were a coach I would want that kid. After I saw that game, I thought, I wouldn’t want to be playing USC in the next 4 years.

Hey Dolphins,
Go. Take off to L.A.
The team has been rotten for years.
And please take the pathetic Marlins with you.
Just GO.

Just wait until the Dolphins' players realize that between the maximum California state income tax rate, and the insane housing prices there, as well as most everything else being higher a move to Los Angeles will mean a pay cut of about 35%.

Hmmm? Could the NFLPA file a grievance with the league.
