Today we gave names to Gosnell’s abortion victims. Why was this important?

Because it humanizes them and makes their murder all the more tangible.

Because, they, like all of us, are children of God, are ensouled at conception, and are made in the image and likeness of God.

They now live among the Angels and Saints of God, where I expect to be in a few more years.

Of course they have names - they were called to life and they endure despite the error of those who killed them.

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)
