A woman kidnapped from Pembroke Pines and driven to a Davie mobile home park avoided being raped by fighting off her attacker and trying to shoot him with his own gun.
The 22-year-old woman had been driving west along Pines Boulevard about noon on Tuesday when she was targeted by a man who, police say, would later tell investigators that he decided to kidnap and rape a stranger.
Before the afternoon was over, the woman would be driven at gun- and knifepoint 10 miles along two interstates to the mobile home park, where she resisted an attacker who left her cut and bruised before she tried to shoot him, Pembroke Pines police say.
