The most amazing thing always associated with UFO’s are lights. Did it ever dawn on anyone that if they had the superior technology to make it here from some other star or galaxy that they also would have the ability to see in the dark without lights?

Time travel does far less violence to the current understanding of physics than does interstellar travel. Humans from 100,000 years hence actually have a vested interest in visiting and making some changes or taking samples. It explains why they are avoiding DC/London/Moscow and visiting remote areas.

I’m not claiming it’s actually happening; just pointing out relative liklihoods.

Aliens don’t read random threads (’cept perhaps JRandomFreeper threads). Aliens are verrrrryyy sophisticated and use very sophisticated algorerhythms to decide which threads to read and which to ignore. But you can be sure that aliens read the entire thread once they decide to read any thread. It’s just the way aliens are. Sorta natural law-like, I think.

Maybe they're the equivalent of alien low riders or tuners. Trying to "turn heads" or "make a statement" or some such.

Or they could have been banned from their home world(s) because they had flamboyant tendencies. "Our lights are f a b u l o u s"

I think the most likely explanation, based on human experience, is there's some alien bureaucracy that mandates consipicuous visible lighting any time a craft is within so many miles of a planetary surface.
