Hahahahahaha...I came from a family of six, and had the same issue. My brother made life hard for one teacher, and when I had him the next year, he made it tough for me.

I was a kid who did blow things up and play with fire. I set a field on fire on two separate naval bases, though the second time it wasn’t me with the matches, but a willing bystander.

The first time, when I lived in Yokosuka, Japan, I was shooting smoke bombs over a street into a field with a slingshot, because the smoke trails looked really cool. Didn’t occur the dang thing would light the grass on fire, but...I wasn’t the sharpest knife in the drawer at the age of ten.

The really dangerous one is chlorine bleach plus ammonia. Emits a toxic fume. Never use bleach to clean up a basement floor full of kitty pee.

Only toxic if you are the Creature From the Black Lagoon. For those without gills it's more irritating (Chloramine is used as a disinfectant). For the toxic chlorine you need an acid.

If you take the common formula for black gunpowder listed in your secondary school dictionary and mix it with agar agar instead of charcoal, you don't need to try to grind/crunch/compress it into pellets.

The burn rate will be so furious the flame will leap straight up 10 to 20 feet! That's because electrons are being moved around so furiously it generates a magnetic field perpendicular to the point of initial combustion.
