Getting To Tomorrow
Tomorrows like a rainbow; you see it, over there,
Its magically just hanging round, suspended in the air.
But if you try to get there, youll notice it recedes,
And turns to something commonplace. Thats not what magic needs.
Magic needs a distance; some sense of far-away,
It helps to keep it magical that its beyond today,
Or somehow just untouchable. The mirror tells it true;
That off-hand fellow staring back is just another you.
Tomorrow is a mirror, a thing you cant reach through,
It takes all thats behind you and reflects it in your view.
Tomorrow is the limit, of all that is and was,
And no you cannot have it, and the reason is
because.

"Love, Love, LOVE!!"
Oh, Love!
The question you asked a moment ago?
You wanted the meaning of?
We were speaking of the basic things,
About life and living ... Oh, Love!
Yes, Love makes life worth living,
No matter your circumstance,
How dreary the world is around you,
Yet Love makes you want to dance!
The questing swain or suitor,
May seem like a courts lost fool,
But love gives him grandeur and dignity,
At least thats the general rule.
And Love in the basest family,
Ennobles the mom and dad,
To Queen and King of the Castle,
And a Prince of a sturdy lad.
Im glad you asked me this question,
Ive been wishing to share the truth of,
That wonderful blessing youve brought to me,
And the life-long treasures ... Oh Love.

"Today is yesterdays tomorrow!"
But Today
Im worried about next week,
When some debts are coming due,
And concerns about my familys health,
Are constantly in view.
But today, the sun is shining,
And my heart is quite at peace,
For the moment, at this instance,
Im not looking for surcease.
I have some years behind me,
And more yet still ahead,
But on the whole they pleased me,
More than filling me with dread.
For today, the birds spread wings of joy,
To embrace the world this much,
Just as do I, in reaching out,
To keep my heart in touch.
In the distant future, when I as memory,
Will haunt the hills and hollows,
Of a changed vicinity,
Then my touch will be as follows:
Folk will be seeing rainbows,
Or singing birds in flight,
And sometimes thoughts of mine,
Will then intrude upon their sight.
For tomorrow will be coming,
While I wend another way,
And my focus will not be with things,
That may be coming, but today.

Displaying Gods Glory
May 28, 2013
I love baseball and have been a fan of the sport since I was a little kid. I especially enjoy following the Detroit Tigers. But during a recent season, the Tigers poor play and losing record early in the season frustrated me greatly. So for my own personal well-being, I took a break. I spent 4 days avoiding anything to do with my favorite team.
During those 4 Tiger-less days, I began to contemplate how difficult it is to give up things weve grown accustomed to. Yet there are times when God may want us to.
For instance, we may be involved in an activity that has become all-encompassingand we know it would be best to limit it (see 1 Cor. 6:12). Or we may have a habit or practice that we know misses the mark of pleasing God, and we realize that we need to let it go because we love Him and want Him to be glorified through us (15:34).
When we do find things that interfere with our relationship with the Lord, with His help we can stop. God has given us the provision (1 Cor. 10:13), and the Spirit provides the power (Rom. 8:5).
Lets ask Him to help us not let anything block His glory from shining through.
You are perfect, Lord, and we are so far from
perfect. Please chip away at our imperfections
through the work of Your Holy Spirit. Help us
each day to grow more and more like You.
Drawing close to Christ produces a growing Christlikeness.

Jesus knew what he was to do. The Father sent Him ... Many of us look around and then say, I wish I knew what my purpose is, it is right there printed in the Holy Bible.
God gave us commands, as did Jesus Christ. "Follow me", "walk as I walked," "Love your neighbor as yourself."
"Thou shalt Love the LORD with all thy heart, with all thy mind, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength. and thy neighbor as thyself." Luke 10:27
Many are the instructions of God. He did not leave us in the dark. If we are in the dark it is our choice to be there.
Jesus said, "follow me ..." Jesus gave us a way to have our sins forgiven and removed. " Go and sin not"
