The first amendment would absolutely apply - if the UFC were the government. Is the UFC the government?

People unclear on the concept thought that boycotting the Dixie Chicks after their remarks was a violation of their 1st Amendment rights.

If you say something your employer doesn't like they can (and will) fire you. The 1st Amendment doesn't apply unless your employer is the government.

Wow, you are one of those guys. I am no way unclear about the first amendment. You, and others like you, are the ones unclear. Did the article say he was under investigation or not? It did, and to me investigation means the government, at least at the law enforcement level. Last time I looked the 1st prohibits any laws being made to restrict free speech, that would include local laws as well as federal since all the amendments have been incorporated within the states. I wasn’t talking about him being fired, I was talking about the “investigation”.
