Dr. Kristin Held, a San Antonio-based opthamologist, is live-tweeting the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery Government Relations session. The conference is being held this weekend in San Francisco.
The topic of the Government Relations session is complying with and implementing Obamacare. Dr. Held doesn’t like what’s she’s hearing, and she’s not the only one. Indeed, almost all the doctors have walked out of the meeting.

My cardiologist,a senior staff member at one of Boston’s major hospitals,told me when I saw him earlier this year that he was originally intending to keep practicing for another 5 years at least but thanks to OsamaObamaCare he’s retiring at the end of this year.And he’s a liberal democrat.He told me that the mumblings among senior physicians with whom he works is very negative indeed and many have,like him,moved up their retirement dates.
Doctors should pull an Atlas Shrugged and all go on strike until the monstrosity is repealed.
....or had their votes “counted” as being for Obama. There is a difference.

My Grandpa lost his sight due to Mac Degen. Dad is fighting the same battle these days - as will I in the (all too soon) future.

I’m not ‘looking forward’ to my Golden Years of blindness in an 0bamaCareCenter. I expect to be abused on a daily basis - and the random beatings and theft from unskilled immigrant workers will be the LEAST of my worries!

My GP (while in his 50’s) and his PA wife retired not long after Obamacare was enacted. No way he was going to let the government dictate to him how to run his medical practice. While this was not a good thing for me, I totally understood and agreed with his decision.
