Blizzard here Sunday, school closed Monday. 6 more inches Tuesday night. Snow again today. It’s like the seasons backed up two months.

Howdy, George76. -21, F up here this morning (for the rest of you: about 39 degrees N., over 9,000 feet, on the east side of some 14-ers on the Rockies). I reckon some of those lower elevations will see some extra cold fluctuations in 2-3 years or so. My guess is that 3-6 years, this extended minimum will really be showing itself across the middle of the Midwest.
My son texted me this AM. 10 deg. 9” snow. A little S. of Denver.

It’s because of more moisture in the air because of the warmer temperatures and the melting sea ice, and the inversion temperatures in the ocean, and etc., etc. The models predict it. As soon as we make a few adjustments to the fudge factors.
My guess is more like 10 or 20, but it will be brutal. The rest of us (east cost) will be lucky to have just storms and cold spells mixed in with warmer ones. The Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic should stay warm enough to help us out. but not you guys.
