By kkk you mean demokkkrats of course. But that shall not be spoken of about the sainted dems. There is NO truth to the proclamation that the dems started the kkk. None at all. History only counts if your ancestors were slaves.
The war AGAINST Iraq was ended in short order but a foreign funded guerrilla/terrorist movement followed (in part because the US was hamstrung so as not to appear “Imperialist” in the wake of victory). We have been fighting along SIDE Iraqis. The old government was toppled and in no threat of returning.
There have been three Klans, at least.
None of the successors have any line of direct descent or continuity with the first one.
They’re all scum, though. The Klan of the 20’s was by far the most successful. My Dad used to tell a story of his father taking him to a recruiting meeting in KS around 1922, when he was 12. My dad said it was very impressive, but his father smelled a rat and didn’t join up. The 20s Klan was actually more powerful outside the South, contrary to the popular opinion.
The 20s Klan fell apart in the late 20s, very largely because of the rape and murder of a young woman by Klan leaders. Kind of put a crimp in their moralistic posturing.
The KKK was a ponzi scheme selling insurance and sheets.
If ya wanna stop or slow down a terrorist organization, put the tax man on them.

As part of anti-Klan laws, many States still have laws on the books requiring that a person’s face may not be concealed.
Wow, did not know about the Klux Act. Bills of Attainder are unconstitutional. Grant said, ah, who cares? And the occupant of the same office continues the tradition.
