It’s a four thousand year old scam. I’d save your money.

My mom tried it.

She decided it was an “if you believe it will help, and you're not really all that sick” it will work. If not, just go get yourself some medical help.

I’ve tried it and it has helped with various things. What are you thinking of using it for?

My mom had it done. It worked for her pain.

If you are having it for any reason besides pain I have no idea.

I tried it for arthritis. It was some help; a masseuse who knew what she was about was considerably more help.

This is going to sound like a “Chinese Food” joke...but I went for a session when I had a really bad back. It worked for about 45 minutes.

I *do* believe there are a number of things it is very good for, but I don’t know what that list of things is!

It worked for me, by some odd reason. Lower back stuff and never had any discomfort/pain for weeks. Weird.

it helped me with some minor recurring pains. certainly not a cureall. my acupuncturist used to be a licensed social worker so seeing him for a treatment was also seeing a shrink at the same time.

Seemed to help with depression - might have been placebo effect but I went in believing it wouldn’t work at all. Might have been prayer - acupuncturist was a devout Christian.

Worked very well on lower back pain - muscle spasm had lasted six weeks, one treatment cured it.

Totally missed a serious medical condition but to give her credit she knew I was seeing my doctor the next day and she would have told me I should see my doctor if I hadn’t been planning to.

Yes, I have tried acupuncture several times. It definitely speeded up the healing process.

I’ve been to acupuncture numerous times for different things, most recently for a broken neck. I had success with it.

Acupuncture works. End of story. But you must have a qualified and credentialed practitioner, just like any other kind of medicine.
