Whenever sensational sounding numbers are posted about the number of “children” killed by guns, realize that the definition of a “child” can be very flexible. In most of these body counts, late teen gang bangers are included just to make the numbers more horrific. You’re thinking of 5 year-olds while the actual count is of turf warring black inner city male 16 thru 19 year-olds.
Yes statistics can be very deceiving if you don’t look at how they define what they are counting.
But however you define youth/child there are a lot of Blacks killing other blacks.
It makes no sense to blame the guns for the killings and this is the jest of article. Blacks are killing blacks in numbers disproportionate to their representation in the population.
Do Blacks own guns in greater numbers than whites? Not according to any numbers I have ever read. In fact the numbers I have seen would suggest the opposite.
I would suggest as Mr. Williams does that the Black culture is at the root of the problem.
The Brady Bunch counts 25 year-olds as “children,” and abusive ex-husbands shot in the act of attempted murder of their former spouses as “family members,” and the punk shot while burglarizing the next door neighbor’s home as a “friend.”
