White House [OMB] Report Claims Sequestration Will Affect Federal Department That No Longer Exists
reason.com ^ | February 25, 2013 | Mike Riggs

If you want a thorough agency-by-agency rundown of the budget cuts sequestration would deliver, the Office of Management and Budget has you covered. In compliance with The Sequestration Transparency Act of 2012, the OMB sent a detailed report to Congress in September 2012. But there's a small problem with the report: One of the cuts it warns against would affect an agency that no longer exists--and didn't exist when the OMB sent its report to congress.

The first line item on page 121 of the OMB's September 2012 report says that under sequestration the National Drug Intelligence Center would lose $2 million of its $20 million budget. While that's slightly more than 8.2 percent (rounding error or scare tactic?), the bigger problem is that the National Drug Intelligence Center shuttered its doors on June 15, 2012--three months before the OMB issued its report to Congress.

Might there be other errors in the OMB's report?

If the department isn’t there, where is the $20 million budgeted going?

Organizing for America?

Personally I think this is why the democrats won’t produce a budget. Too many unexplained discrepancies.

Oh I’m sure somebody has decided to be a good custodian for it, just so it doesn’t foul up the bookkeeping, you see.

Elsewhere in DOJ, I'm certain.

Anyone in the GMI’s (Gay Marxist Islamist)little black book, of course.

Obama has been lustfully taking, how should I say...”deposits” from supporters for years and the males have been getting lucrative returns ever since...the girls? Well they are getting big payoffs as well, but it is a Michelle thing—which explains how Hillary got SecState...

How appropriate, The National Drug Intelligence Center was a pet pork project of late Congressman John Murtha (D-PA). The corrupt Murtha wasted close to One Billion of the taxpayers dollars on that boondoggle. Looks like he still wants to fund it from the grave.

June 16, 2012-After 19 years of waste, Nat Drug Intel Center closes

What a monumental boondoggle the NDIC was and am very surprised it was finally shut down even though Murtha is six feet under.

You’re right, Smooth, the bastards ghost lives on.

Holy Crap! Why does this not get any attention? I am surprised to see that the government does cut here and there, but you would never know it as it does not get any coverage. I would like to know what other cuts have been made. This is astonishing. I never would have thought it especially in 2012.

Think Lybia, Syria and the Arab Spring. Can you say manpads? Sure I knew you could.

The Gvt can actually be good at cutting. It just does so for the wrong reasons. Not so much to be good stewards of taxpayer dollars as SESers waging bureaucratic warfare against other SESers and their pet (rival) projects and organizations.

Why should a non-existent agency be reported when the money can be kept pouring in to go to some covered up accounts? Think Vatican Bank and CJ Roberts, the Obama clan and even a bunch of congresspersons and whoever/whatever controls the flow of money.
