The 25 sports are: athletics, rowing, badminton, basketball, boxing, canoeing, cycling, equestrian, fencing, football, gymnastics, weightlifting, handball, hockey, judo, swimming, modern pentathlon, taekwondo, tennis, table tennis, shooting, archery, triathlon, sailing and volleyball.

table tennis? They kept ping-pong as an olympic sport but phased out wrestling?

Out of that list the only ones that come close to being as "core" as wrestling are athletics and weightlifting. Boxing comes close, but the international side of that sport is so disgraced that it makes me wish we still only had to deal with throwing out "soviet judge's" score.

Seriously. Handball, field hockey, badminton, table tennis? By the way, table tennis people hate it when you call it ping pong.
