JRF, thanks for pinging Marcella.
Marcella, I don’t know how useful the thread is, but it certainly gives me a break from the gloom and doom of the economic and political events, and I enjoy it.
We would welcome your container gardening reports too. Let me know if you would like to be added to the ping list.

I do have cheap gardening gloves because I hate dirt on my hands and under fingernails - it isn't going to happen.
I can get seeds growing, maybe. I have to do something with the freaking tobacco seeds since Johnny gave them to me. I do plan to get that stack up gardening thingy because I can't stoop down to the ground more than a few times or I can't walk the next day. That's lower back two degenerated disks. Had that checked years ago and surgeon said don't touch that as it could be worse after surgery. Said best thing is to not put on weight and I haven't but over the years, it gets worse.
There has to be a way to grow food without groveling on the ground. I do have some pots and could get more. Have an ornamental iron table out there and could put pots on that so I don't have to bend. I'll think of some way to get pots up.
So, I need to get Roma tomatoes it sounds like. If they grow well for Johnny, surely they will grow well here. I remember Lowes having a section of non-hybrid seeds - wonder if there are Romas there?
So, I will try and see what happens. My garden area is small behind my townhouse, but I found out years ago why my taxes are more than the other townhouses in here. There are only 6 townhouses with three bedrooms and mine is one of those but my tax was more than those and should be the same. Then, I found out my garden is bigger than the rest. That being the case, those other people can't grow much at all with gardens smaller than mine and I doubt they do.
I will go to Lowes Monday and get what I need to start seeds and look at seeds. If I get anything to grow, I expect you guys to sing the Hallelujah Chorus.
